And in the daylight we could hitchhike to Maine

Currently listening to Daylight by Matt&Kim. I love Matt&Kim, their songs make me feel so happy :)

Ahhhh, like a good ol-fashioned nightmare~

Yeah I know that wasn't the same song.

Aneewayz. There aren't gonna be any pictures in this post, it's just gonna be me rambling on and on in a long summary (ironic) about my recent trip to TAIWAN with Tania, Lianne, Emily, Zijun, Tania's parents and her uncle.

Also, I'm listening to music as I type so forgive any grammatical/spelling errors, it's kinda distracting.

Basically, we all flew from Singapore to Hongkong and finally to Taiwan on the 17th of November, three days after my 'O' levels ended! Came back on the 25th, which is three days ago.

First half of the trip was spent in Yilan, second half in Taipei. Yilan was mainly scenery, mountains, that kinda stuff. I personally prefer that; the countryside is more my thing than the city. Having been made, born and raised in Singapore City, I think it'd be nice to experience country living for a while.

(THE WANTED'S ALL TIME LOW IS NOW PLAYING YAY)

DAY 1.

Our first day and first night was actually spent in Taipei though. On the first night we did a bit of shopping around a night market that we had to take the public train to. The train stations in Taiwan are extremely organised; you actually have to queue up to wait for your turn to get into the train. Peak hour, however, is crazy. We could barely move at all during peak hour in the train.

Our first hotel was called Lucky Hotel I think. No laughing. The furnishings were okay, it's not posh at all, but it looks pretty decent, not dingy or anything. When you walk past it on the street, though, you'd hardly think it was a hotel. It looks more like a clinic.

At night we had cup noodles and watched America's Next Top Model. First night sleeping there was terrible. I woke up about three times, each time thinking it was daylight already. The first time I woke up, I heard Emily mentioning it was only 2am when she was talking to Lianne. I honestly thought it was 7 already :/

And it can't be jetlag or anything since Taiwan and Singapore have the same time. What made it creepier was that all of us experienced the same thing; we kept waking up lots of times during the night, thinking it was day already...

Expenditure for Day 1
1. Mneral water
2. Meat bun
3. Almond milk tea
4. Cup noodles
5. Sweets

DAY 2.

Second day, we woke up and went to the nearby Starbucks to get coffee. I got a vanilla cream that didn't have any caffeine in it. It was okay I guess, just tasted like liquid vanilla ice-cream ahaha.

We shouldn't have gone to Starbucks though, because later we went to a mountaintop to drink Mr. Brown coffee. It's a coffee chain that's apparently very popular in Taiwan; later throughout the trip we saw a lot of Mr. Brown coffee stores.

The view atop the mountain was amazing, but it was warm outside so we were all squinting at our cameras. Oh and I didn't bring a camera or my phone or any technological device like that, so don't expect any pictures. I think the other girls will post pictures on Facebook though.

I shared a hazelnut coffee with Lianne, twas pretty nice but I'm not a big coffee critic so most coffee tastes fine to me.

Later we went to a museum or something like that. It was situated near a lake that had real ducks in it. (Yes, I'm a deprived Singaporean kid; we rarely see ducks in ponds here)

I bought three identical brown notebooks that are almost all plain on the outside- one of my favourite purchases from the trip. I'm prolly gonna use em when I go to JC. If you know me well enough, you can guess how I'm gonna decorate them.

(GRAVITY, DON'T MEAN TOO MUCH TO MEH)

The 7-11 stores in Taiwan are also different from ours

(OMG MY FAVOURITE ALL TIME LOW SONG- DEAR MARIA, COUNT ME IN- IS ON)

in the sense that they have Tea Leaf Eggs EVERYWHERE. Yong tau foo stalls as well! I wish Singapore had those :/

Expenditure for Day 2
1. Vanilla Cream (Starbucks)
2. Hazelnut coffee (Mr. Brown)
3. 3 notebooks
4. Tea leaf egg

Kay there, so I've done a post on Days 1 and 2. I'll prolly do a post on the rest of the days when I'm not lazy... Keep reading, beautiful people! :)

We'll hit south Broadway in a matter of minutes

HELLO. I'm back after an extremely long hiatus.

(Excluding that previous last-minute post before our emath exam hahaha)

I checked and I have over 500 pictures in my phone waiting to be posted. Since it'd be nuts to post all at one go, I'm just gonna upload the latest 50! I haven't been doing much for the past few weeks anyway. I mostly went to the airport to study on my free days, sometimes with a friend or two, most of the time alone. Btw, please excuse any grammatical errors in this post cause I'm writing as I listen to All Time Low, and it's a lil distracting, but I love it. All Time Low's fast becoming my new favourite band! (Don't worry Mcr, you'll always have first place though)

You know, sometimes I look at my stats (This month I've had more than twice the number of US readers than Singaporean) and wonder if all these foreign people coming to my blog are actually celebrities. I mean, you never know. If I were, say, Gerard Way, I'd prolly want to check out my fans' blogs just for fun. Wouldn't you? (Don't lie, I read minds)

Aneewayz.

So as I was saying, these past few weeks actually passed by really really quickly, much faster than I expected actually. I'm glad I survived this week; it's been crazy having seven 'O' level papers crammed into five days, I don't know what those Cambridge markers were thinking! Andddd. They're all the heavy subjects. Let's see, um, two amath papers, one chem paper, one physics paper, one literature paper, one ss paper, one music paper. Nuts, I tell ya. Not gonna say much about the papers; they're over anyway. I'm just hoping for the best right now :/ I honestly wanna get into VJ because it's good and most AHS people are aiming for that, and I like AHS people :)

(Omg I'm listening to Too Much by ATL right now and the way Alex says 'too much' is so Asian HAHAHA. And I actually prefer the live to studio version)

So after the music paper yesterday (YAYYYY) I went to meet Lianne at Tampines and we went to Tania's house to COOK. Hahaha I'm pretty useless in the kitchen though. I'm terrified of getting burnt so I refused to go anywhere near the fire or even hot water. It's funny though, I never even knew I was that scared of heat.

So I mostly did chopping, cutting, mixing and washing up. There was beef with vermicelli and carrots, broccoli with celery, fishcake with chilli, and another vegetable dish but I can't remember what it was. Tania's dad also made chicken for us, it was the yummiest dish HAHA. The chicken was so tender. -droolz- Now I feel hungry.

Tania even planned to make Korean pancakes as well but in the end she scraped it cause we were all too tired. After dinner we looked through Tania's photo albums and then played cards! (Aw, we sound like a family) Playing Cheat is stressful! Left her place at almost 11pm and Lianne and I took trains home. I surfed Youtube after I got home so I slept at 1am. Happened to wake up at 8am but I didn't feel tired at all; I think I was too excited for me and Lianne's shopping trip today. LOL.

Got dressed and went to meet her around 1130am. I thought I looked fine but when we got to Orchard I felt extremely under-dressed D: We walked around Orchard, malls and all. I've missed shopping so much! Didn't see much that I liked though, except for a few tops. Lianne says I like anything that's grey or has stripes on it hahaha which is kinda true. Also, I didn't think I spent much but the grand total for the day was 51 bucks! Spent on lunch and dinner which were relatively cheap (both below 5), an ice-blended Small mocha and a grey dress. Lianne was worse, she spent 65 ahahaha.

Oh and I wanted to buy an album as well but there wasn't anything to buy :/ Checked with Gramaphone and they don't have any copies of The Black Parade, islandwide. The girl at the counter got my hopes up by telling me she thought Cathay might have a copy or two, but turns out they didn't so my hopes were dashed :'( She was wearing a Saosin shirt though, so I forgive her.

OH and today would've been almost perfect if not for the fact that I dropped my phone and the whole screen cracked. It looks downright terrible right now though, and even that's an understatement. I'd say it looks like a huge family tree fell and imprinted itself really well on my phone. My poooooor baby. Heart might've broken when I picked it up from the floor and saw the damage. I honestly thought the damn thing would be fine cause I've dropped it a million times before (Oops) but... Ugh. How careless of me. And now it'll take like 200 to repair it... Thing is, I thought my parents would be mad at me but they weren't at all so now my guilt's increased tenfold. #firstworldpains

Soooo. Ending the post here cause the hydrochloric acid in my stomach is irritating me.

Dress I bought!
I like this shirt but it kinda looks boyish
This is the 1000th picture in my phone. I find it hilarious but you prolly won't unless you're an Mcr fan as well hahaha
THIS. Walked into my room in the dark when I was home alone and got a shock when I saw my uniform there, it looked scary
Brendon & Spencer of Panic! at the Disco. -melts-
Took pictures of yee mian to show Jiams cause the nub (noob?) doesn't know what it is
The dishes me, L & T cooked at Tania's house!
Lunch
I look like a hippie
