Hi everyone!

Can't believe you're still here checking up on my super dead blog... wow. Thank you for your dedication :')

Still too lazy to upload all my pictures hehe so just gonna update yall in point form about the more major things that have happened so far in my life.


1. Nothing much has been going on after finals actually, except for my Bangkok trip with my friends from JC. It was my first time travelling alone without any parents or 'adults' tagging along (so weird to say this since I'm already 20) So yup, just 100% friends.

There were seven of us and honestly sometimes I think the group was too big, but it's all good, we did fine and all had fun :) really glad to discover that my friends make awesome travel buddies.

Just glad that the guys and girls slept in separate rooms because the boys turned theirs into a pig sty.

Will elaborate more on the trip when I upload pics. Which might be a really long time later...


2. I applied for a hostel room and managed to secure one! Hehe. No more late nights spent travelling home, yaysies. I get more free time and study time which is great cos I'm way more productive studying in school than at home. But I guess the downsides are that I have to do my own laundry, find my own food on weekdays etc. Then again, it's also a good opportunity for me to learn to be more independent, because...


3. I got into SEP!!! -throws confetti- Got my second choice which is Konstanz University. It's a beautiful place (but then again most places in Germany are probably beautiful) that overlooks Lake Constance. It's also only 4km from Switzerland. Lum (hello Lum!) has been joking that I can run there if I want to. My mum also has an ease of heart now cos it's quite a safe area, far away from all the major cities in Germany. Super excited to go on SEP :) It's a wonderful opportunity and I'm thankful for it.


4. Today is also results day. I did a lot better than last sem which was a pleasant surprise. Also managed to pull my cap up by a bit tho I'm still in the same range. My grades aren't stellar by any means, but I'm happy with them, which is what matters :)


5. Random fact: Been sitting alone in the CAC clubroom for a couple hours now just listening to music and blogging LOL. But I'm not that weird to have come all the way to school for no reason of course. Later is Jam Night yay and I'm just a little early... by four hours... ahahaha

I'm actually prepared for Jam Night for once. Learnt MIA by a7x (it's the video right above) yayy. It's a super fun song to play with a lot of interesting rhythms, and it alternates between 3/4 and 4/4, ooh my favourite. Excited to jam later :)

So finally, finals are over!!!! The one or two days after my last paper I felt the familiar relief and relished finally being able to do all the things I wanted to do, and at my own leisure, with so much time to kill, but now I'm starting to be bored hahaha

Soo for lack of more meaningful things to blog about, lemme just chronicle the last few weeks, from where I left off.

Err, don't really remember what I did in week 13. Prolly just attended lectures and tutorials as usual. 2303 tutor requested to take a photo with us hahaha so cute. Never had a tutor do that- usually they just give little speeches and final exam pointers, maybe hints if you're lucky, then they attempt to say bye to us in the most dignified and least awkward way possible

German lecturer brought German cakes for us on our Friday and last lecture! They were delicious omg. One was marble cake and the other I forgot, but I remember I preferred this and it tasted lemony. Hehe yums

Also got back a bunch of graded assignments and our final exam paper. Don't remember the other grades (prolly didn't do so well hahahaha) but I scored 8% above the average for my final paper! Was so happy cos I camped in the studio and had an hour of sleep the night before the final, and felt super groggy during the paper.

Reading Week was spent travelling to school every day, to and fro, to study in the clubroom with the cca mates. I wasn't stressed at all this finals period, and I guess it's prolly partly due to that- having study buddies. Dunno if it's a good or bad thing. But I did feel stressed that I wasn't stressed.

The travelling was not so much of a big deal compared to the shitty food at YIH... :( It's so bad I kennut. Had to eat there every day of the week too because everything else was so far out. Never again.

Also, made the mistake of deciding to study for my arts gem (Pirates, Oceans and the Maritime World) only the day before the exam. I couldn't finish studying :( Pretty sure I wrote a bunch of nonsense.

All my core mod papers were admittedly doable. Which I guess is a bad thing :( Time to pray to the bell curve god.

Anyways, time to sleeppppp. So tired from watching nothing but online movies and Friends all day long. Hehe

It is the end of WEEK 12 (I think I needa stop starting every post with announcing what week it is)

Taught my last guitar lesson for the sem yesterday and concluded German 3 with my final this morning.

Done with all the essays, assignment and problem sets for the sem. Left with just finals now, omg. where did the sem go? Really feels like just yesterday when I was playing for student life fair, but that was 10 weeks ago. wow. I don't even.

I think what amazes me most is that I'm officially done with German 3. I don't even know how I did it. Sometimes halfway through writing my assignments I sit back and stare at the screen and marvel at the capacity of the human brain. Just last August I didn't even speak a word of german and now I'm writing all this nonsense. It's cray.

I'm back by popular demand!

It's the end of Week 9 of school, which is super duper mega ultra wow. How did time fly by so fast?!

I have a cute post-it in my calendar book that I pasted on right before school started, and I told myself I would change it every week cos I have too many post-its at home and I don't know what to do with them. But it's week 9 and the same post-it from week 0 is still there. LOL

I submitted my application for SEP last week! Hopefully I get into at least either my first or second choice.

Erm, don't really have much else to blog about. I'm so sorry I'm boring hahahahaha

Can't wait for the end of the sem! Then I can jam, and go to Bangkok (yup, again) with the jc kids whom I haven't seen in forever, and spend my days lazing around and doing absolutely nothing productive. Aw yisssss.

Haven't touched my bass guitars in the longest time since I started playing, and I feel kinda guilty. I sent the old one to a guy to change the nut which was worn out + change strings, and I haven't even tested it since I got it back from him. omg.

But I got a new tuner which is super amazing and accurate (I can even sing into it and it tells me what notes I'm singing and whether they're flat or sharp wow) so I can finally stop leeching off other guitarists' tuners. Ahaha.

Yayyyy feeling good cos I had a great time resting at home over the long weekend thanks to elections. Feels like I haven't had proper rest since the new semester started! Towards the end of week 5 the sleep deprivation from a combination of selling my soul to german 3, cca and travelling home after cca was really starting to settle in hahahaha

But anyways, it's all over and I managed to clear quite a bit of work over the weekend as well. Proud of myself heh

One more week of school, then we break for Recess Week, and then midterms nuuuu

It's Week 3 of school and life has been decent, had fun performing at student life fair and being involved in amp'd auditions. But bass turnout this year was so bad, I can't even :'(

Writing a quick post before school officially starts tomorrow ahaha (well actually it starts today, cos it's 1am now)

I don't have a lot of lectures this week, but it's still gonna be quite a busy week ahead cos of cca. SLF is on thursday and friday- gonna help out with manning the booth, plus I'm performing on thursday and I still haven't really familiarised myself with the songsssss. But yay to first ever gig at UTown! Finally I can look forward to a more substantial crowd heh

Also got a couple of admin stuff to do like get secondhand textbooks, bid for CFG module slot (omg mega sians) and settle some stuff for guitar lessons cos I'm in charge of them this sem.

But wow, last day of the holidays :(((( omg :(((( there goes my three-month break, holy crapppppp

Doesn't really feel like the last day though, prolly cos I got home at 12am today after jamming with the others for SLF. Having my first lecture tomorrow which is the arts gem module that I'm taking this sem- Pirates, Oceans and Maritime History!! Sounds cool doesn't it? Hahaha sure hope it's as fun as it sounds :( fingers crossed! Couldn't find any module reviews online so I have no idea what to expect. But just found out on IVLE that I have to write a 1.5k word essay due sometime in Week 6 homg... what have I signed up for

And then no classes on wednesday and thursday hehe but 2 lectures on friday.

Looking forward to this week!

Wonder what the new sem will have in store for me. omg still can't really believe it's back to school again hahaha how did the three months fly by so fast? :'(

But anyways... wishing everyone a fruitful sem ahead!

Remind us all of what we used to be

omg, the 2008 feels. I think I can understand now why people get so nostalgic about music of their youth as they age.

So we're basically at the end of summer break. 

I'm glad to say that I had a wonderful three months!!! Can't really express or summarize in words how much fun I've had, but anyways, just really thankful for the break. Spent so many days just lazing around doing nothing + catching up with friends + listening to good music and just enjoying life in general. And at the same time I got to work the most fun job I've ever worked too.

Three more days of freedom and then it's back to studying :'( kind of excited to see what the new sem will bring, but also feeling like :((( at the thought of studying, and exams.......

Hello!

I think I'm starting to lose the motivation to blog, after more than seven years :( 

School is starting soon again omg whyyyy nooooo

Kinda excited for Year 2, but sian at the thought of studying hahaha I'm so lazyyy 

Busy week ahead- got jam sesh on wednesday, going logs shopping with the fellow loggies on thursday, work on friday and saturday, and then mock gig on sunday with the seniors to learn how to set up and mix sound yay gonna be so funnnnn

Also it's my last week of work, pretty sad cos I've just started to settle in and have fun, and now I have to leave :/ should have applied to work there earlier instead of rotting away at home for one month after last sem ended hahaha oops

But it's been a really great time working at fArt tArtz cafe :)) I've met so many nice people, learnt lots of new things about f&b, and ate so much free food omg. I get fed so well every time I go to work hahahaha I love ittt. And the coffee is amazeballs. Would totally go back there for the coffeeeee.

Kinda got my new timetable down. Hope everything goes according to plan and I get all the mods + tutorials I want! Also, planning timetables is fun and all but thinking about the new sem is kinda :( Really need to pull up my cap :( 

Super looking forward to meeting the fresh batch of amplified people (I want to say 'kiddies' but most of them are prolly boys and will be older than me, so that's kinda weird) though. Love meeting fellow musicians cuz there's always so much to learn from everyone!

Still can't believe my summer break is almost coming to an end. Soon I can't spend whole days lazing around anymore noooooooooo cries

I foresee that this entire week will be another lazy filler week cos I literally have nothing going on this week except work on Sunday. Only worked once last week too because the place is overstaffed :( ohwellz

Super quiet and cold morning at work. Was told to expect huge crowds in the morning because there was a 5000pax event nearby, but during the first two hours we only had one customer LOL

Plz come to fArt tArtz cafe @ Expo, there's a huge selection of food, drinks and desserts, and the coffee is actually pretty decent. And on non-peak hours it's a wonderful place for chilling- bright and airy. Would definitely frequent the cafe if I wasn't working there haha

Was gonna end work at 3, and SJ texted at 2.59pm to ask if I wanted to hang hahaha
