I honestly think Youtube was one of the best websites ever invented, alongside Google. All those endless videosssss! Endless parodies, endless mvs, endless movie trailers, endless funny clips, endless hilarious comments to laugh at.
I think I could spend my whole afternoon watching all my favourite movie trailers. Okay this is random but I just watched the Easy A trailer and Penn Badgley is HOTDAMN. Like Cam Gigandet. But oh no Cam is better. <3 I can't believe he's married with a baby daughter. Ahhh.
"There's a higher power that will judge you for your indecency."
"Tom Cruise?"
AHAHAHA WIN. I need to add Easy A to the list on the left of this page.
Anywayz. I think I've kinda lost the motivation to blog. I used to seem to have endless things to say; it was kinda like a ICAN'TWAITTOGETHOMETOBLOGABOUTTHIS thing. Now it's like... meh.
I mostly just talk about random stuff, like music. Speaking of music, WHY DIDN'T ANYBODY TELL ME ALL TIME LOW WAS SUCH AN AMAZING BAND? I recently just watched them live on Youtube and DAMN. Alex Gaskarth can frigging sing.
Oh and Christine also recommended me a couple of Mayday Parade songs and some of them are actually pretty good. I like their lyrics. It's an acquired taste, though. I thought I didn't like it initially, then it got stuck in my head and I was like ah well. BLACK CAT is one of my favourites.
YOU'RE LIKE A BLACK CAT WITH A BLACK BACK PACK FULL OF FIREWORKS AND YOU'RE GONNA BURN THE CITY RIGHT DOWN NOW, WHOA-OH, WHOA-OH
Haha see what I mean? Got sidetracked. And I have nothing else to say. -___- I used to blog in absolute detail, like I'd talk about what I did after school and what happened and what I laughed at and what I ate, totally random things. LOL.
Okay let's think what I did today. Uhhh. Prelims 3 are drawing to a close. I've only one exam left! YAY! Today we had Chem and Physics Paper 1, then Jz, Yy, Nigel and I went to 18chefs' for lunch.
The others practically ate half my lunch because the hydrochloric acid in my stomach somehow decided to stop attacking the walls around them. Which in short, means I wasn't that hungry anymore.
I think I developed abs from all the laughing. They're not visible now, but we'll see tomorrow. And then, I went to Tampines 1 to buy the two shirts from New Look I've had my eye on for a week, while Yy and Nigel went to roam around Simei.
After that I went back to Simei to find them, and we went to my place. Ended up laughing at random shows on tv before finally settling on Anaconda: Hunt for the Blood Orchid. It was nice! Don't you just love reptiles?
I've always been fascinated by reptiles. Snakes, crocodiles, whatever. I used to read about dinosaurs too, and I even had dinosaur figurines. I remember my favourites were the Parasaurolophus and the Euoplocephalus, and I called them Para and Euoplo.
Then I'd group all the herbivorous dinosaurs together, like the Triceratops and Iguanodon and Protoceratops and the above two, and the carnivorous dinosaurs together, and me and my brother would make them have wars. Ahaha.
Then the Pteranodon would just be swooping around randomly with nothing better to do cause we didn't know where to put him; he didn't fit anywhere cause he was primarily a fish-eater and it didn'tseem right to make him stand with the likes of Tyrannosaurus, Allosaurus and Velociraptor. Oh Velociraptor was way cool.
AH I MISS PLAYING WITH DINOSAURS. ):
Anyway, abrupt end here haha.

How do you get up from an all-time low?
Okay, so I'm warning you guys beforehand; this post is kind of like a rant. Well, actually it is a rant.
SO. Today morning I decided to pack my stuff and go to BK to study, like an average Singaporean teenager preparing for the big 'O's. I camped there till about three, and then this lady, the manager I think, came up to me and asked, well, more like demanded, "Excuse me, are you going to buy anything?"
And I said no, and she replied, "Then I'm going to have to ask you to leave. My customers have nowhere to sit, and you're occupying our table." What she said was reasonable, and I agree that it was my fault too, I should've realised it was getting crowded, but what I really didn't like was the way she spoke to me, like I was going to put up a fight.
It was hostile. I mean, I'm fifteen, not five, I get what you're saying, and if you're asking me to leave to make space for your customers, I'd gladly do so, but with that tone of yours, needless to say, I'm leaving for good. Her attitude was completely unnecessary.
Then as I was leaving and two little girls came to occupy the table, their maid gave me a really dirty look, like I'd done something terribly wrong. Woman, is it my fault I can't concentrate on my studies at home and I'm trying to find a place to study for myself?
I'm not hating on the manager or anything; I know it's just her job, but even if you're frazzled, please don't take it out on us students. We may be students now, but who knows where we'll be ten years down the road? Maybe people above you on the social ladder.
I'm so tired of staff everywhere looking at students trying to study like we're the freaking plague, especially if your restaurant is empty and we're just occupying unneeded tables. So it's become our fault that we don't have places to study?
You can give a fish water for it to survive, but you need a tank as well. Everyone expects students to study hard, but what can we do if we don't have conducive environments to study in? Maybe the government could, oh I don't know, stop building malls and start making space for students to stuff facts into their brains in. (I feel like I'm writing a baozhang baodao and this is the jian yi part)
So, yeah. In the end I had to go home, and I just ended up wasting time at home due to all the distractions. My phone, my radio, whatever. Ugh. I'm the master of procrastination. Like right now I'm blogging instead of studying for my chem exam on Monday. Joy.
On a lighter note, ALEX GASKARTH IS SO HOT. I loooove the way he moves when he sings in the I Feel Like Dancin' mv. It's so punk rock-ish. I dunno if you get what I mean, but yeah. All Time Low is awesome.
Andand. The Wanted is hotttt toooo. Especially Max George and Jay Mc-something. I don't know how to spell his surname. Ahaha.
Okay okay. I desperately need to go study. The guilt's kicking in.

Dewey Finn: "Okay the first thing you do when you start a band is talk about your influences. So who do you like, Blondie?"
Marta: "Christina Aguilera."
Dewey Finn: "Who? No, come on. Shortstop?"
Leonard: "Puff Daddy."
Dewey Finn: "Wrong. Billy?"
Billy: "Liza Minnelli?"
Dewey Finn: "What? No! What are you- you guys, I'm talking about bands that rock! Led Zeppelin!"
-class stares-
Dewey Finn: "Don't tell me you guys never got the Led out."
-stares-
Dewey Finn: "Jimmy Page, Robert Plant? Ring any bells?"
"..."
Dewey Finn: "Okay what about Sabbath? AC/DC...? Motorhead?? OH WHAT DO THEY TEACH IN THIS PLACE?!"
HAHAHAHAHAHA.
I laugh everytime I watch that part.
Seriously, I cannot think of anyone more suited for Dewey Finn than Jack Black.
They're sooo similar. Love School of Rock!
So I'm at Starbucks alone now, studying. Prelims 3 start tomorrow. D:
Alrighty, back to mugging. Haha

Why, Delilah?
I saw the light on the night that I passed by her window
I saw the flickering shadows of love on her blind
She was my woman
As she deceived me I watched and went out of my mind
My, my, my Delilah
Why, why, why Delilah
I could see that girl was no good for me
But I was lost like a slave that no man could free
At break of day when that man drove away I was waiting
I crossed the street to her house and she opened the door
She stood there laughing
I felt the knife in my hand
And she laughed no more
My, my, my Delilah
Why, why, why Delilah
So before they come to break down the door
Forgive me Delilah I just couldn't take anymore
~
I lubbb Tom Jones' voice. So solid.
In an oldies mood today, as you can see.
Always On My Mind by Elvisssss <3
Seriously, what happened to good music and talented singers?
It's like all the amazing artistes took talent away with them when they passed.
Still, there are great pop musicians.
Like Leona Lewis and Jessie J and Eminem though I don't know if he can be considered pop.
Aneeways, off to study for ss ):

"rock got no reason, rock got no rhyme"
LET'S BLOW A HOLE IN THIS TOWN
TOO MUCH TALKING WITH THE LASER BEAM
GUNNING OUT OF THIS PLACE IN A BULLET'S EMBRACE
THEN WE'LL DO IT AGAIN

JOHNNY COULD YOU COME BACK HOME?

Just came back from the fish farm.
Honestly, I thought I wouldn't like it. But I guess I forgot what a country girl I am. There is something very tranquil about just sitting on a plank looking out at sea and the greenery beyond with your feet dipped in water; it's just amazing.
My dad called it 'admiring scenery', my mom stood indoors and asked me why I was 'sitting out in the sun'. I guess she much prefers the city, then. I got slightly annoyed with her at one point because she's scared of dogs, and she kept insisting that the German Shepherd there (which I've decided to nickname Crack because he acts like he's on crack with all the running around) be tied up at the second house.
Of course, Crack wouldn't stop whining and in the end we set him free and he came back to terrorise my mom, who screamed for help whenever he came within a 2m radius of her. Sweet.
Hahaha I just realised you readers prolly have no clue whatsoever what I'm rambling on about. SO. My dad suggested last week that me, my mom, brother and his friend's family, namely Uncle M, Auntie Cj, their 20-year-old daughter Marianne, 12-year-old son Kelly and Marianne's boyfriend Cavan, come visit his fish farm for a day.
We went to Changi and got there by a motor boat. It was exhilarating. I sat next to Auntie Cj on the way there and my mom on the way back, and both of them were clutching to me for dear life. Looooove the wind in my hair, though it was a bit scary at first, like a Viking ship. Up down up down up down
Then we got there. Okay the whole fish farm floats on planks of wood which in turn are supported by barrels pumped with air, so the entire structure floats on water. When it's high tide out, the whole house moves along and everything starts creaking and shifting around. A little unnerving, but we got used to it. Oh but the fish farm still stays at one spot in the sea though, because there are reaaaally heavy anchors that stop it from moving too much, or else we'd just float away.
The house has four bedrooms with beds, cupboards and a tv in one which two Indian workers occupy. The rooms are really stuffy so I'm glad we cancelled last-minute plans to stay over. The living room is combined with the dining room. There's a sofa, small glass table, dining table and a tv, along with a lot of junk that you'd probably commonly see in a fish farm.
There's also a small kitchen. There are two Muslim-Indian workers there, one of them cooks and he makes amazing curry crab, fresh out of the farm :D The so-called bathroom is just a closed room made entirely out of wood, and in the wooden floor there's a cut-out piece of plank. You're supposed to do your business into the sea; the tiny fish eat your poop. Hee.
Oh and there's a small area between the bedrooms, which leads out to a balcony-like sorta thing, except that there 2.5m open gap in the balcony; if you step out of it, you'll obviously plop into the sea. I think it's an amazing idea, cause you can just sit there on the planks with your feet in the water and look out at nothing but sea for a long stretch, then there are islands in the distance.
The living room has no door or wall separating it from the rest of the farm. In fact, the only doors in the house belong to the four bedrooms, one toilet and kitchen. You can step out and walk along planks along 4m-deep enclosures (?) which contain red snappers, groupers, pufferfish, lobsters and I don't know of any more. There are baby crabs which live with barnacles slightly below surface level.
Sadly, since the things are 4m-deep, none of the animals like to come out for us humans to look at them. It's just murky green water most of the time, though sometimes you do see fish coming up to the surface.
A chinese worker who's the only one there fished and he caught a bright red fish, the common kind you see in wet markets, as well as a pomfret-lookalike and a stingray. A worker cut off the stingray's tail because of its poison and threw it in the pufferfish enclosure. Who knew one vicious pufferfish would eat out its eyeballs. -shudder-
Oh and an Indian worker started hacking up the red fish alive. He actually scraped off all its scales with a knife, then sliced it open and took out all its innards, then threw them back into the sea. TT It was horrible. I didn't dare to eat the fish when he cooked it later. The same fate befell the pomfret-lookalike, and then four other full-grown crabs from the farm were cooked with curry.
Auntie Cj brought beehoon and fruit salad for lunch. Yumyum. Then she, Marianne, Cavan and Kelly spent most of the day sitting at the planks looking at fish, fishing and scraping the barnacles with large nets for baby crabs to bring home. My mom spent most of it watching Korean dramas on Marianne's laptop and looking terrified whenever Crack strolled into the house.
She kept trying to get the rest of us to force him out, and she insisted it get tied to a pole at the other house, twice, until he started barking and whimpering. Felt so sorry for him ): I would've been terrified of him at first too, because of his size and dark colour, but after that I realised he wasn't so scary after all. He's so cute :D
He starts licking you for attention whenever you stop petting him, and soon the only fear I felt towards him was the fear of getting pushed into the water by him, cause he likes to pounce on you when your back is turned. Attention-seeker.
I brought homework to do, but I couldn't really concentrate with the ground beneath me constantly floating. Right now, I still feel like the ground's moving even though it's perfectly stable. Hope the sensation goes away soon cause I don't think I can sleep like that.
I think the best part about the whole trip was getting to sit on the planks and soak in the rural feel. Prolly sounds a bit... dumb, I know, but damn, I could really get used to having the wind in your face like that, getting dog sobber all over you and tasting salt whenever you lick your lips.
Worst part about the trip? Probably the ending part, when we were leaving and Crack tried desperately to jump in the boat with us. Trust me, it's not easy trying to chase a hyperactive dog you like away from you with one arm while your mother grips your other arm and shrieks in your ear. In fact, her screaming scared me much more than the dog.
In the end a worker grabbed him by his neck and hauled him away from the boat. He still tried to jump in, poor thing, and ended up falling into the sea. Then when the boat took off he swam after us until we were out of sight. -heart breaks-
I hope the next time we come my mom doesn't come along too, or poor Crack has to tied up and he won't even know why. Still, she does have a valid reason for her phobia. Apparently when she was young, her cousins kept two huge black dogs in their house and got bitten by them. Then both cousins contracted some thing from the dogs (rabies I think) and went mad.
Anywayz. Is it just me, or is the National Day song this year extremely irritating? Like. "In a heartbeeeeeat (some random line) In a heartbeeeeeat (another random line)" Meh. I much prefer Where I Belong and what's that called, Deep In My Heart? We Will Get There? I don't like Home either.
Done with my extremely long post. Hope you enjoyed, gotta go do my music homework now. I miss the farm already! Next public holiday we'll be going back, which is maybe Teachers' Day. If only I could live there forever. No worries, no responsibilities, just the sea, sky and I.
