HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONEE
it's 2025!
to be v honest i haven't looked forward to new years for a few years now. i think in place of growing up, now i just feel like im getting older. and it's pretty depressing but i tryy not to put too much thought into this one. haha
today was the first work day of the year, it was rather uneventful except for an unavoidable sense that everyone felt recharged and raring to go after the christmas/nye break, and unfortunately that included the bosses. had a bit of a headache at the end of the day haha but came home to sherwin and bernice and we had eat 3 bowls @ bendemeer for dinner, so all's g!
didn't do a recap for 2024 but since we had a baby i guess normal life had to take a backseat so there wasn't anyth major happening anyways. i gotta say the first month of bern's existence was insane, i rly felt in the trenches and like i was just surviving day to day. maybe the hardest time of my life after A levels?
it's really only gotten better from there on tho. although now we are dealing with her stranger/social anxiety and a surprisingly emerging feisty side of her. but NTH compares to newborn days. we just came back from a road trip up to KL and genting too! my mil tagged along and it was great having the extra pair of hands, especially on the last legs of long drives when bern decided she had slept enough and it was time to partyyy.
overall the trip was alright but too rushed for me, esp the KL part, i forgot how much shopping and eating is possible there. genting - not much to do with a baby in tow tbh, mostly walked around and chilled, and took a cable car down to the premium outlets but it was v crowded. made me miss the chill vibey outlet malls at US!! will defo be back to genting when she's done growing some more, so we can at least spend a day at the outdoor amusement park. i rmb it was quite fun! plus cold weather wew. can't wait to go on longer and further trips w bern next time :) miss big family trips with sherwin's fam to the US man.
for this year's travel plans so far, i only have tw in april and japan in sep. excited for the latter, cos it'll be sherwin, my and bern's first time in japan. i love korea but everyone says japan is better, so waiting to compare them myself haha.
hoping to firm up more travel plans, maybe with my own fam, haven't travelled w them since... 2019 with my mum and cousin wow.
