Twas been a pretty happening week! (well as compared to the rest of May where I just whiled my time aimlessly away)

Went for a job interview at a cafe on Monday and basically got hired on the spot. The whole interview took less than 5min LOL I don't even think it was an interview actually. Felt more like the guy just asked me to come down so he could take down my particulars. I arrived less than ten minutes before we were supposed to meet at 2pm, and we were done at 2pm hahahaha

Walked past Subway and decided to lunch there and get my kawfee to celebrate finally finding a job (albeit almost a whole month after finals ended hahaha)

Found a buyer for my piano, and thought she was a uni student at first because she couldn't come down any earlier than 6pm so I assumed she had work or internship or something. But the doorbell rang and I opened it to find a girl in secondary school uniform LOL

Plus she said she was going to bring 'movers' with her so I thought she hired professional guys, but... next to her were her grandfather, a girl and three boys from her secondary school LOL so cute

They were honestly quite rough with my piano, understandably cos it was heavy and they were young boys, but watching them move it felt quite heartpain :( also my piano has been with me since I was P2 and it felt quite weird to see it go. Even weirder to imagine it in someone else's house, and that person using it haha

But oh well, she seemed like a really nice girl. I'm quite sure my piano has gone to good hands :) #pun unintended

Met hotbabes at night for dinner (yay long time no see) - zi char at Aljunied/Geylang's Penang Seafood Restaurant. It was not bad! We got sambal kangkong (yumz but quite oily), salted egg shrimp (this was super yumz), ha cheong kai (cos what is zi char without ha cheong kai) and fu yong egg.

After that we went to have Rocher beancurd

The way there and back was super -___- though because all the chi ko peh uncles in Geylang were staring at us and some even talked loudly about us?? Wth seriously

Em and Christine weren't really bothered by it but me and Lianne felt like pointing middle finger

Had my first day of work yesterday at the cafe- was less tiring than I expected actually, but still tiring. F&B is no joke. Had the misfortune of meeting a super anal customer too. I realized there are some people out there who really don't know how to lighten up/be patient, which is sad. But for the most part, people were generally really nice :)

Also meeting some of the amplified exco (most of whom I'm closer with yay) to go to Sentosa on Sunday!

It's been an eventful and fun and awesome week. I can't believe the first of our three months of summer break is nearly over :'( Time is flying by at a depressing speed. 

Results will be released in less than NINE days. If only I don't have to log in to myISIS to look at them. If only :(

Attended Priscilla's 21st bday party on the 10th of May (omg that feels like just yesterday but it's not) and it was a themed party- Cartoons! I went as Bugs Bunny and my costume sucked HAHA but it's okay, thought that counts right? 

I remember it was a pretty busy day- had lunch at home, then went to Jiams' to borrow bunny ears from her, then back to simei for drums, and finally to the west to meet the others to cab to Pris' place. 

It was a lot more fun than I expected :) laughed till my throat hurt. On the way back to Jurong East mrt (omg probably would have dieded if I didn't have company back to the east) in the bus, we were so noisy that a lady in the back who was on the phone got annoyed and asked us (well more like demanded) to lower our volume. -black moon face-

I would say we were quite productive cos we managed to finish the scrapbook in a day and still had time to travel to the airport for late lunch at staff canteen (I love the food at the staff canteen) and get ice-cream at McD's after that, and then she watched me while I had mee rebus for dinner (and I wonder why I've gained weight)

So yayz

My ootd for that day LOL couldn't be arsed cos the weather was damn blardy hot (only donned the cardigan in the airport and on the way home at night)

Sent ET off to East Europe (lucky biatch) last Tuesday!

Met SJ on wednesday to shoppp. Finally got some stuff I wanted, but I don't dare to check my bank account balance now

Finally managed to grab hold of these two (well mainly Tania) last Friday

We had the toughest time ever deciding what to eat LOL ended up walking aimlessly at Tanjong Pagar until we chanced upon a cafe with lunch sets at $12++ which was surprising considering how atas it looked

Apparently it's a wine cellar called Merchant's

Mushroom soup tasted very strongly of butter, which was actually quite nice, to me

Food looks really good here LOL but it was average at best. L and T said the bread was hard and dry (T barely touched her second sandwich) and my seafood white wine spaghetti was very dry as well. Seafood didn't taste good either

But oh well, it's a wine cellar after all

Coffee was surprisingly good though

Played bball with Tania and random strangers at night! It's been more than a year since I last played and I've gotten even worse than before, if that's possible :( but it made me remember how much I love playing basketball

It rained the next day, Sat morning. Was like noo when I woke up. But fortunately the rain stopped in the afternoon :)

I felt weird wearing bright lipstick

Lugging all our instruments and extra equipment from NUS to Siloso Beach was super cumbersome, especially in the midday heat.

Had fun gigging at sunNUS- the less-than-substantial crowd actually made me feel more at ease. Most people were scattered all over the beach playing ball games, but I'm sure they were listening hahaha

I think the biggest part of gigging is really jamming sessions, where you get to meet and know your fellow band mates better. Glad to have played with this fun bunch :)

Also, we kept our band name a secret from Penuel (I call him penny and everyone else followed up) until onstage when Jon announced that we were the Lucky Pennies HAHA his face was like lolwut

Lastly, L, T and I filmed a new super lame but funny video last Friday! (check it out on Lianne's latest blog post on catchingaeroplanes.blogspot.com) Lianne edited it and she forgot to change the default name to hers, so... Bridgette HAHAHA I cannot

in retrospect, i've come really far since the last time i thought i would never be able to do some of the things i do today. it's so easy to undermine the true extent of your personal accomplishments until you learn how to take a step back and view the whole picture. 

i guess it's okay, sometimes, to stop trying to scrabble to the top for a sec, and to look down and take in the view. give yourself a congratulatory pat on the back, and allow yourself to admit that yes, i did it. i finally did it. 

cos you shouldn't take everything for granted, not even your own success. you are not somewhere because you 'deserved it', or because you were better than anyone else. you worked hard to get there. so take the time to celebrate it. then carry on.

Life has been wonderfully peaceful these days with nothing to worry about. Still haven't found a job and idk if I'll even manage to find a job this break, but ah well. Just lepak lor

Only thing about having a summer break is how so darn hot it is. omg

Also, had cca meeting yesterday and I have a new job which is to come up with judging criteria for the upcoming freshie bass auditions. Super LOL cos I still feel like I'm hardly a bassist myself. They were wondering whether to include an improv section and I was like wow I can't even improv myself hahahaha

Anyways to keep my brain from turning to mush this summer break, I'm gonna answer some funny questions to ponder that I found from a random website

hahahaha I'm stumped at the first one. hmmm. well they do sell the next closest thing which is sausage

LOL I guess?

that's not supposed to happen so I guess if it happens, they should? would be painfully ironic if they didn't.

Job-hunted with Lianne on Tuesday- seemed productive at first but in the end Gastro didn't call us back and apparently most cafes aren't willing to hire people for three months... hahaha

Went to school on Wednesday morning for logs meeting. I unwittingly picked a role that requires me to know all about our studio equipment. But s'okay cos I think I'm slowly picking up the ropes... I think. Have a rough idea of how to set up a stage now hehe yay #slightly less of a technical noob now

Had lunch with the other logs crew and jammed a bit in the studio, then had band prac at night.
