oh man i didn't blog in august!
hope life has been great for yall! i have been plagued by several bouts of what looks like angioedema. it's not fun at all haha
i've been bz trying to figure out exactly what it is that i'm allergic to but so far nothing stands out. from some light online research, it looks more like i have some kind of histamine intolerance, cos my symptoms reappear when i eat high-histamine foods e.g. shellfish, nuts, alcohol. for now i've just been alot more careful about what i eat. good chance to lose weight!
the horrible part though, is the lip swelling. it's painful and i look so bad i can't go to work. which has resulted in me looking like a real slacker lately cos i can't wfh = no work output. really hoping whatever this is makes a quick exit out of my life real soon.
ok will let pictures do the talking now. btw there are a LOT of food pics cos i've been documenting every meal for about 2 weeks now, so i can check what i ate when/if my symptoms resurface. LOL

the day we had a cohesion at the arcade. let me tell you i've never been so bored on a cohesion. realised that you definitely need friends to have fun at the arcade. most of us went around alone, and i was just sitting pressing buttons killing time. would rather have been at office right then
went to KL in mid august with sherwin, his mum and her friend. they wanted to go see some tcm doc. i was just happy to be there and eat KL food haha
we went to JB and took a flight from there cos it was cheaper
was v amused by the server name. wanted to ask the guy 你是林俊杰嗎?
ordered kopi and it came as 3 in 1 kopi??

ancasa hotel was not that great - not clean (prolly cos old), we couldn't get adjoining rooms although we booked together, and the phone couldn't even be plugged in to the outlet so we couldn't call the counter?? only good thing is the location (heart of chinatown)
sherwin raved about the ramly burgers at this stall which he tried a good 15 years ago and we were amazed to see the uncle was still there. he finally got to satisfy his craving haha
not sure if it's obvious but there was this thin red line around the edge of my lips and it was rly itchy
ICC pudu market (formerly imbi market) that my colleague recommended me. it's worth going!! lots of nice and cheap authentic msian food
was excited to try the highly recommended kopi from this stall but it tasted like absolute crap (sour and not fragrant), i was v confused

couldn't find a cafe to chill at around dinnertime, so walked into the shadiest looking bar in one of the chinatown streets which didn't even have a signboard. and the food was so good?? this bbq eggplant with hummus tasted so amazinggg i begged sherwin to try it but he didn't
they gave us free tea too which tasted good

we stayed at a 4-room airbnb at R&F mall/svc apartments. not bad!
the trip itself was crazy tho cos they drank both nights and we slept at 5am both nights.
i am definitely too old for this.
after the trip i rly couldn't open my eyes. went to bed and slept from 5pm to 10am the next day. it was bad hahaha

next time i blog might actually be november... am going to Vancouver with sherwin and his family end of this month, then a work conference in the US in october, then it's tania's wedding the day after i arrive home :o very bz. but excited!!!
