Cafes

Went out with Melons on the 28th to cafe-hunt! It's so weird to think that I've been anticipating that day since forever and now it's over. As are overr!!! Haha

We first went to Department of Caffeine at Tanjong Pagar, then The Marshmallow Tree at Telok Blangah, then Strangers' Reunion which was kind of near The Marshmallow Tree (Google says it's situated at Kampong Bahru road).

We got a sticky date pudding, waffle with strawberry ripple ice-cream, jasmine tea and a warm cafe latte at D.O.C, then some strawberry sponge cake thingy, meringue cake, some chocolate-coffee cake thing and an earl grey tea latte at Marshmallow Tree. At our last stop we had a yogurt pudding with granola, iced mocha and something called magic coffee, it was the first thing on the menu so I guess it's their specialty.

I think my favourite was D.O.C (yay cause I picked it) because the food there was good and they weren't stingy with the portions. It was a little crowded though, and we kind of got funny looks because everyone else there were mostly adults in their working clothes from the nearby shops and offices. Also wanna try the other drinks there sometime.

The Marshmallow Tree's food was okay-ish but they had a very nice ambience. Strangers' Reunion was my least favourite haha the pudding wasn't fantastic and the Magic Coffee just tasted like black coffee. But the mocha was decent.

Then we headed to Sentosa! Had overpriced chicken rice for dinner and went to Candylicious, then got ice-cream. We talked about 1F'08 ah how I miss those times. Easily one of the best years of my life. #nostalgia

On our way to the beach we saw the Luge and decided to give it a shot. Omg the ride up was terrifying to me. I never knew I was scared of heights haha. Well that adds to the list.

Et and I were holding hands tightly the whole ride. The Luge ride down was fun!! Would've been more fun if I wasn't wearing a white dress though haha (It was melons' gift to me and they said I had to wear it on the 28th)

At the beach we had a h2ht. And we saw fireworks! Pretty, but a waste of money, especially if it's true that they have fireworks every night at sentosa!

Dt's parents fetched her from vivo, and the rest of us were on our way home when Jiams and Yy noticed some banglas looking creepily at us, and they were actually smiling. I made eye contact with one of them and he just stared right at me smiling, didn't even look away! Even worse, they were taking pictures of us. Not just one or two, but a lot.

We alighted at the next stop (thank God they didn't try to follow us) and took the next train. I was a little scared then because I've never experienced something like that and ended up deciding to crash at Jiams' house haha. Anyway my fear was valid because I would've been the last one to alight from the train.

So girls be safe! If you know you're going home late make sure to dress ugly.

Ok bye

They're gonna file me under latest nostalgia

Oops it's laterally inverted but well, it's just a little thing I pasted on my bookshelf a long time back and when I first put it up it said "To start: 72 days. To end: 91 days." And now it says "To start: - days. To end: 1 days." I can't stop marveling at how fast time flew. Feels like just yesterday when I put it up.

POST-AS.

1. Go to cafes to read books (instead of mug for once)
2. Spend a day wasting my life away on youtube
3. Have tea while listening to all my albums
4. Go jamming
5. MAYDAY FREAKING PARADE CONCERT OMFG.
6. Brush up on my guitar and bass, start playing piano again, learn drums
7. Travel to the west

Wums and I also made up a short list today that includes running to ECP, going to sentosa to lepak, cycling at Ubin etc.

Today was my last day of going out to mug and it feels so weird but... a good kind of weird.

Also, I was looking through my notes and like, wow, I don't need these anymore. But I couldn't bear to throw them in the recyling bag. All the chem notes I spent hours pondering over and that were so, so, so very important to me before, and all the econs notes furiously written during econs tutorials, and math, my favourite subject... how can I throw all of you away just like that? HAHA it sounds so weird but it's true. Emotionally attached to all these papers.

I don't really have definite plans for tomorrow after school, actually. I'm just looking forward to going home after I'm done doing whatever's the conventional definition of fun tomorrow after the paper and watching tv with a cup of milo in hand.

Buh-bye! Last paper!!!

But who's to tell us?

Stare at the stars

Slowly inhale
Lies brought on
The past tense is now
Can you feel it?
Exhale with the thought of letting go of rivalry
Soon it will be pure again

So collapse your eyes
Collide those lips with mine
Let your feet leave the earth
And float away

No idea what the lyrics are about but the song makes me think of warmth in wintertime, dreams and large empty fields with overgrown weeds that have a peaceful touch to them.

Eighteen months have passed / Dead flowers grow from my chest

HELLOOOOOO NIHAO KONICHIWA (racking my brains for more greetings but actually I think that's all I have well so much for being a globalized citizen)

Listening to Machines Are Taking Over, the full album by Covette. Again. I ship this album so hard. How can anything be this perfect? Shayley Bourget's beautiful vocals, both clean and unclean, and the heaviness of the bass, and the drums played so perfectly and the quiet guitar licks in the background. Post-hardcore at its finest. Love it

Left with just Physics Paper 1! They seriously weren't kidding when they said A levels would pass really fast. Can't believe it's just less than 2 days to freedom. 45 hours to freedom, to be exact. It's so scary. I used to hate routines and love uncertainty but I think I'm growing old because now that the future is so uncertain I don't like it.

What do I want to do with my life? What? Wish I had an answer.

But I'm really excited when I think of what's to come in the next 8 months. Flying off to Morocco in just 8 days! Omg it's my first time stepping foot in Africa, I'm so stoked!! Finally going somewhere out of my continent! (other than aussie) Then it'll be nearly Christmas by the time I come back, and I have six or seven months to waste away hehehehehe

I think I entered my holiday mood after the Econs paper last thursday. I screwed up my paper 1 on monday really, really bad, like I was really writing rubbish and the feeling of knowing you're just sitting there screwing up an A level paper is just so awful. It was definitely the worst paper for me. So I got really stressed and pia-ed the next few days. Was totally banking on Globalisation and trade and they came out on macro goals and policies -__- Well of course I'm glad they weren't super tough questions but still. Makes me feel like all those life-draining brain-numbing 3-hour extra consultations we had were in vain. Oh well. Just glad it's all over. Studying econs was a nightmare. Haha

Went to town with L and T after that, and it was a really tiring but fun time. I don't remember what I did on Friday. I think I stayed home. Then I went to town again on Saturday with Jiams to mug, and to town again again with Lianne on Sunday.

Today's chem paper 1 was thankfully do-able. Managed to finish everything omg first time!!

Hope the paper 1 on wednesday has mercy on me so I won't get too ugly a grade for physics.

Bye!!! (I feel like the only person who's really enthusiastic for the end of As. Everyone else around me seems to be just like meh)
