I took a sip of something poison but I'll hold on tight

I'm back again! Boxing day was spent with my family, we went to Kallang Leisure Park for lunch at some restaurant called Thai Village or something like that. I can't remember its name :3
Well then we went to Marina Bay to walk around and my mom and I went to take a look around Louis Vuitton on the way. My mom: "This is how the rich spend their money." True dat. The stuff was all ridiculously fancy. Dinner was steamboat. I've never really liked steamboat much; my favourite thing there was prolly the chicken rice.
On the 27th I went with Elaine to watch Sherlock Holmes at Orchard Lido. It was great! Everything was ingeniously written and Robert Downey Jr and Jude Law did really great impressions of Sherlock and John. The ending was brilliant. If you haven't caught it yet, you need to ;)
28th, I met up with Lifang :D I hadn't seen her for over a month since she went to China. And she bought me this ultra cute white dog that I've now named Snowy and which has taken up residence on the right side of my bed. He's adorkable.
We originally planned to have lunch at the cafe at White Sands' library but it was closed D: So we took a bus from the interchange to parkway. Lunch was pastamania, and when the food came I was so sure I wouldn't be full at all, seeing as it was a tiny portion and I was completely starving, but I ended up feeling like a beach whale. It was that bad.

I guess it's cause it was cheesy and thick and wholemeal, but... ugh. I never felt so sick of cheese in my life. We managed to make our way to Gramophone without reproducing our lunch. And I am officially unhappy with Gramophone. Five times I asked if they had any albums by five different bands, and five times they said no. The blonde guy didn't even check his computer!

"Any Matt & Kim?"
-stares at me- "No."
"Any Bowling for Soup?"
"No."

lolwut.

And it's not like I wanted Asking Alexandria or something. The bands I named were all pretty well-known. They have none of ATL's albums islandwide either, except for Dirty Work, which I'm not so interested in.

Anyway, on my sixth try, they finally had a band I was looking for, and it was Foster the People. They just released their debut album, Torches. I got that album, and then played it three times straight the next morning. Yep it's that good. I like FTP. Lifang got a Green Day album, and the soundtrack to some movie. And we got ice-cream, and Lifang got a taiwanese drama.

My New Zealand's Natural ice-cream started dripping once I got it, and I had to ask for a cup (I also had to pay an extra 70 cents for it -___-) and a spoon, and then I dunked my ice-cream inside, with the cone sticking out awkwardly. It was my first time eating it too.

Oh and I also bought a really cute little calender and a bunch of pretty post-its for the gift exchange me, Dionne, Jiams and Elaine had on the 30th. Can't remember if I bought anything else, but my favourite buy was definitely my FTP album. <3

I also want two other albums now- Green Day's American Idiot and The Cab's Symphony Soldier. I'm thinking of trying to find a Matt & Kim album as well, though I think that'll be a little harder because they're not really that well-known.

On the 29th, I met up with Yueyao and Nigel! We went to Ikea, which is the same place we went to on the day our 'o' levels ended, 14th November. I always have lots of fun when I go out with these two because we have the same sense of humour and everything I see just seems a whole lot funnier.

We ate twice and hung around Ikea doing dumb stuff :) Oh and Yueyao was saying that I have to watch this taiwanese drama called In Time With You, so she was enthusiastically telling me, "It's a romance story" and Nigel said sarcastically, "Surprise!" I know it doesn't sound funny but it was reaaally funny at that time! -awkward silence-

Then after that we went to Nigel's house. His dad and sister were there in the same room so we didn't make a lot of noise. We watched Nigahiga videos hahaha.

The 30th was me, Dionne, Jiaminn and Elaine's mini post-christmas outing! We wanted more people to come, but most of them couldn't make it in the end D:

So we went to cycle instead. It was fun but it got really tiring after a while. My butt was sore from the lousy rented bicycle seats and I got a blister on my right thumb, no idea how it got there. I haven't cycled in a long while so I forgot how fun it was :)

After that we had cup noodles at the bicycle rental shop, and then we went for dinner at BBQ Chicken, E!hub. I got honey roasted chicken with coleslaw and mashed potato. Dionne got the same side dishes as me but they made a mistake and gave us french fries instead of coleslaw. When we told them, they gave us coleslaw but didn't take back the fries, so we had 3 side dishes :D

Dinner turned out to be really filling. We did our gift exchange there and Jiams made us all shout 'MERRY CHRISTMAS' to one another on the count of three. Needless to say, we got quite a few stares HAHA. We drew lots to determine who got what present and I got Dionne's while Dionne got mine, and vice versa for Jiams and Elaine.

I got a pretty brown bracelet, photo frame and this thing that looks like a stud and can be inserted into a jack (preferably iPhone's) for decoration purposes. Dionne received my cute little calender and post-its of course, and Jiams got two different boxes of chocolates and something else from Elaine, while Elaine got socks and I-can't-remember-what-else from Jiams.

I like my presents :) I also got a really pretty notebook from Dionne as a belated birthday present (three months belated LOL). I feel bad that people have been giving me gifts and I'm too broke now to buy anything nice for them :/ I didn't even buy anything for anyone other than my family from my trip to Taiwan.

I shall make amends next year :3

Oh, and HAPPY NEW YEAR! 2011 has actually been a pretty great year, thanks to all my friends and family :) You're all special and I love you guys <3 Count your blessings, be happy with what you've got, and remember life's too short to always be unhappy. SMILE!

But baby where they knock you down and out, is where you oughta stay

Right, so I just came home from my dad's fish farm... We went there in the afternoon and spent a night there. There's really nothing much to do there, unless you're into fishing, staring at the sea, stuff like that. It's okay though. But sleeping there was hellish, because the four of us had to share one bed and my dad snores really loudly. I barely slept at all.

I don't really feel that tired now though. Maybe cause I just had awesome pancakes from the stall downstairs >:)

Me, my parents and my brother are going to my brother's church later. Well, it's kind of like my mom wants me to go and I don't really want to. I don't really have such good impressions of churches, or rather, the people in them... no offense to any christians, I'm just generalising here.

OH, I just remembered. MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE. I keep forgetting it's Christmas Eve. Not really in a festive mood this year :/

Anyway, three days ago, me and Jiaminn went to Little India together because she wanted to get henna. I wanted to get it too but my mom told me beforehand not to get any done, darn. We both felt really unsafe in a place so unfamiliar ahaha. There were very few chinese around too, so we felt like we were in someplace foreign.

Oh and the traffic there is crazy, people just jaywalk freely and expect vehicles to brake on their behalf. And in turn, people drive like madmen. Jiaminn and I got out of there before the sun started setting and we went to The Soup Spoon at City Hall for dinner.

We then window-shopped after that. Topshop was having a sale but the stuff there's never really been my cup of tea, except for their coloured jeans. Ohoh and we saw this shirt that said 'RELAX' and next to it was another shirt that said 'Shut Up'.

Jiams told me she should get the 'Shut Up' shirt because I always talk too much, and I should get the 'RELAX' shirt lolol. And I do not talk too much! But anyway neither of us got the shirts in the end D:

The day before, I met Tania on her off-day. Original plan was to have lunch and go to her place to do song covers but we went to watch a movie first, Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol. It was great, surprisingly! Entertaining, not-that-cliched, good effects. If you haven't watched it already, you should!

Then we went to Subway where there was a cute guy manning the counter. I thought he was kinda cute initially, then he smiled and I was like O.O then :))))

Nah I'm just kidding, I definitely didn't smile like that, that would be creepy. We sat down and started eating and somehow Tania's meatball marinara decided to show its ugly side... it literally looked like trash! The more I looked at it, the more I felt like puking.

Then Tania spotted a baby cockroach on the wall next to a stack of bread. -shakes finger- We were staring at it until one other Subway colleague noticed it too, and he/she nudged the cute Subway guy who used his fast reflexes to kill the thing with one blow! Hehehe

After that we went to Tania's place with the intention of doing and recording a song cover, but as usual, we didn't get anything done. Haha it was the same case with this previous time when we practised Ne-Yo's Because of You but didn't record it in the end as well.

End of post; I think it's safe to say you can expect a picture post soon... But don't expect much!
I will see you cats on the flip-flop, laterrrrr.

Asdfghjkl

Right, don't say I didn't warn you, this post is gonna be quite a bit of a rant because I'm kinda pissed now. I suggest you don't read it at all, really.

I just watched this I.aM.mE video of the whole crew except Pacman doing a performance in Toronto. It's a compilation of most of the dances, including duets and trios, that they've done together. It was amazing, especially the part where Emilio and Jaja did Jaja's Fire Power choreo together, because I've been waiting forever to see two of my favourite dancers duet.

But throughout the entire ten minutes, there was this bitch who was shrieking Chachi's name, over and over and fucking over again, like literally every five seconds. I usually don't complain much about screaming during live performances because I know it's normal for someone to get a little too excited when you see your idols, but this bitch was insane.

Other than the fact that she was screaming every five seconds, she also had the voice of a broken blender. It was like some mad cow shrieking again and again, "CHACHI! CHACHIIII!" And it wasn't the kind of yell to express love for Chachi, it was the kind of attention-seeking yell, like a "LOOK AT ME CHACHI, I WANT YOU TO LOOK AT ME! OVER HERE!" It was stupid and completely unnecessary.

Also, the psychotic woman was repeatedly screaming Chachi's name even while the rest of the I.aM.mE crew were doing their own solos and duets. How sick is that? If you're at an I.aM.mE concert, that means you're an I.aM.mE fan, not an obsessed Chachi stalker. At least have some fucking respect for the other dancers while they're getting their spotlight. It was almost like she was demanding they step off and make way for Chachi.

Don't get me wrong, I love Chachi to bits, she was the first dancer from I.aM.mE I ever knew and I watched all her videos before I started on the rest of the crew, and she has mad talent for a fifteen-year-old girl. But I'm not saying she's my favourite; I don't believe in having favourites in a dance crew because everyone has their own talent, but her legions of fans are pissing me off.

Most of them only like her because she's young, fresh and pretty. Yes, Chachi is good-looking, but compared to the rest of I.aM.mE in terms of skill, she still has much to learn. Even in other videos of the other members doing duets with Chachi, there are people who only pay attention to Chachi, even if the other dancer does better.

And it really makes me wonder how many other obsessed Chachi fans there are out there in the world, because it scares me. After all, Chachi's only fifteen, there's only so much she can handle.

Well anyway, I've kind of cooled off now. But I'm still mad because that video would probably be one of my favourite ones of I.aM.mE, if only it didn't have that crazy bitch screaming like she was going to have a heart attack.

Why don't you say so?

I had this amazing dream last night, I somehow successfully auditioned to be a part of I.aM.mE crew, and together we were going to audition for a dance competition. While backstage, I began panicking because we were going to perform one of their most famous dance routines ever, the Ill-emental, which they actually did in real life, on ABDC.
In the Ill-emental, Emilio is Earth, Chachi is Fire, Jaja is Electricity, Brandon is Wind, Moon is Machine (Metal) and Pacman is Water. In my dream, my element was Firework. Yes, I know it makes no sense at all HAHA but dreams never make sense.

Anyway, while everyone else knew the choreo perfectly well, I was the new member so I didn't know anything at all, and Pacman sat down and talked to me to try and keep calm. He also told me he believed in me and I was gonna rock thanks to my improvisation skills... Ugh, one of my best dreams ever, hands-down.
Unfortunately I didn't remember much of the dream when I woke up, other than that part, and that I saw Jaja Vankova's eyes in the dream, and they were brown. They're actually this really amazing greyish-blue colour in real life, so in my dream I was thinking to myself, ooh so she was wearing coloured contacts all along! Ahaha stupid.
On a completely non-related note, I'm currently listening to Therapy by All Time Low now. They're such an amazing band. I just heard Therapy yesterday, it's beautiful.

"Therapy is a kid's worst nightmare, because everyone is telling them that they need help, when all they really need is a hug."

This is a rebel love song

As you can see, my current favourite song is Rebel Love Song by Black Veil Brides... It's the first song I've ever heard from them. Who knows, maybe I'll grow to become a huge BVB fan, maybe not. -shrug- But yeah, I really like Rebel Love Song. And it's kind of funny because I pronounce Rebel as 'Ree-bell', thanks to being Asian, but Andy Biersack is all 'THIS IS A RAAARE-BOL LOVE SONG'. Mm.

Anyway, I got my contacts last week or so. I felt disgusted when I had to put them on because you have to literally touch your eyeballs and move those pieces of plastic around before they finally settle, the stubborn things. They're not exactly the most comfortable things in the world either.

I wore them the day before, when I went to meet Tania for dinner, after which we went to her place to make steamed pork buns (yum)

We had dinner at the tampines interchange foodcourt. There was this good-looking guy next to me and I was eyeing him, and Tania said, "I know what you're thinking." HAHA. He had really nice features.

He was sitting with people I think are his colleagues- one red-haired girl and a malay guy who spoke fluent chinese. After our dinner, they happened to finish theirs as well, and the malay guy stood up, came to our table and asked Tania for her number! I was like O.O while I watched the exchange (Tania's face turned red and the guy kept persisting) because I've never actually seen anyone ask for someone else's number ahaha.

The steamed pork buns were kind of a success! They tasted good but looked... disfigured. There was a bit of meat, carrot and vegetable poking out at different places... Right, you get the idea.

Yesterday was our 1F'08 outing to Sentosa :D

Only 12 people turned up though :( There was me, Dionne, Elaine, Jiaminn, Lianne, Tania, Paul, Ryan, Andrew, Jerome, Haixin and Zheqian. It was actually pretty fun! We brought food, played ball games and sat down and played Werewolf, hainan jifan and lots of other games... Oh and we waded into the sea as well. This arsehole called Ryan came and splashed salty water all over us. Paul and Haixin left halfway.

After we left Sentosa we went to have dinner at a place that sold noodles. Dionne, Elaine and Jm didn't eat with us though, Elaine had to go home so D and Jm left with her.

Lianne, Tania and I were pretty much silent throughout the meal: we usually don't talk much or at all while we're eating. So the guys were all chitchatting, and Lianne said to me and T, "Are we the only friends that don't talk while eating?" Hahaha

Later we all took the train home, and everyone else went home while Lianne and I went to catch a movie at E!Hub. We watched New Year's Eve, a pretty nice show :) I initally thought Jake T. Austin was really cute, but then Lianne mentioned that he sounded like Bieber, and the more we watched him, the more we realised he looked like Bieber as well... -shudders-

When I got home it was about 12. Woke up in the morning feeling like crap, especially since I slept with a wet head, being too lazy to dry my hair properly.

Right, I'm off to Youtube.

Shut Up And Smile!

Sail around the world and tell 'em all to keep singing it
La la la la la
All we need's a harmony and we'll convince the world to sing
La la la la la
Throw your arms around someone
Maybe spread a little love
I know it sounds a little dumb
Or maybe we're a little drunk
But all we need is some ice-cream and a hug

;D

I love this song to bits.
BFS definitely need more publicity; they're so darn underrated! I think their style is pretty similar to that of All Time Low's but ATL is much more popular. It's so unfair. Not that I don't love ATL, because they're incredible. :)

When I die, I want to play BFS music at my funeral, because they're just so happy. But wait, I also want to play Mcr songs like Disenchanted and Welcome to the Black Parade and Helena. My Mcr playlist would have to have at least 30 songs because I can't decide which few I want... OH and Sleep definitely has to go on as well.

Actually, I don't know if I want my funeral to be sad or happy. I want people to mourn me -Garfieldface-

Ugh, my mom is pestering me to read that econs book she made me borrow. And my dad's asking me to practise my piano. It's the holidays, give me a break. Pun intended.

Next year's gonna be a whirlwind of atrocious JC life; can't I relax for the time being? :/

Anyway. I've found a new goal in life, and that's to learn how to play Make Me Wanna Die by The Pretty Reckless on the piano. Which I'm about to start doing now... so.

OHMYGOD, I suddenly understand the I.aM.mE logo! O.O

See, the members of I.aM.mE are always wearing these shirts that have thumbprints on them, and in the middle they say 'I AM ME'. But I never understood it, and I never understood their trademark handsign either, which is to hold your right hand up with only your thumb outstretched like you're saying 'Good', but you have to bend your wrist 90 degrees to your left, so your thumb points to your left.

Anyway, it's the THUMBPRINT. 'I Am Me', it's saying you're unique and different from everybody else, hence the large thumbprint that's always on their shirts. Damn.

And yeah, that's all I wanted to talk about. HAHA. I just realised it as I was watching one of their very first interviews, before they went to audition for America's Best Dance Crew. They did the handsign at the end of the video, and I was staring at their hands, then at their matching t-shirts, and then it all clicked in my brain. BAM.

Another thing I'm really perked about is that CHRISTMAS IS COMING. Tis' the season to be jolly, fa la la la la, la la la la.

My folks aren't big on the whole christmas thing though, we don't exchange presents or anything like that. Anyways, the things on my wishlist are things they prolly can't give me.

My Christmas Wishlist
1. Alex Gaskarth
2. Emilio Dosal
3. Ability to dance like Djavna Vankova
4. Four weekdays a week
5. An MCR backpack
6. Stay sixteen for the next ten years
7. A pet python
8. 10 packs of Extra's strawberry chewing gum
9. World peace

See, the MCR backpack and chewing gum are probably the most easy to get, and even so, those two are pretty hard. I've searched long and hard for an MCR backpack, but I've never actually found one. The chewing gum has to be bought from overseas since Singapore bans it :/

Right, off to dinner.

Dedication takes a lifetime, but dreams only last for a night.

I believe it was yesterday when I was writing 2010's "Things I Have Done This Year."
And lookee here, 2011 is coming to a close :/

It's honestly crazy how this year flew by. I loved being sec4, though the novelty kinda wore off after the chunks of schoolwork and revision came piling in. Still, it was a pretty awesome year. I miss my classmates, if you haven't seen my tweets yet.

I miss my killjoy bestie Lifang. Yesterday it kinda hit me that we won't ever get another chance to beg our amath teacher to let us listen to Led Zeppelin while doing our test. No more scribbling Mcr lyrics in my notebook in class, and no more making fun of our awesome chinese teacher.

And I miss Yy and camwhoring with her during lessons, and daring each other to do the weirdest things possible. And my lovely study buddy Zhenying, and squirrelly friend Kairong, and hollywood maniac Tmt...

No more eating popcorn in chemistry, no more calling our unsuspecting physics teacher 'Mr. Dumb' instead of Mr. Tham, no more playing Taboo in music, no more hiding in the toilet to escape PE lessons.

I never really realised how much fun I had in school until it ended, aside from all the studying and mugging toward the end of the year. Even 'o' levels were kind of exciting as well, though there's no way in hell I'd want to relieve the whole experience. But if I could, I would gladly go back to January
and start all over again, because I know I'd treasure my final year in Anglican High a lot more.

Anyway, went to E!Hub and Orchard on Wednesday with Lianne and Tania. Tania got two more piercings, one on her helix and the other in the middle of her other ear, I don't know what it's called. It was a whopping seventy dollars altogether because it was a professional tattoist who did it.

Lianne and I got red highlights (?) in our hair as well, but it was kind of a waste of money for me because you can't really see the highlights. Thankfully I didn't pay that much for it.

Also, I'm getting contact lenses today! 2pm at one of the optical shops in Eastpoint. I hope I don't ever get any infections ._.

Well, I don't think I have anything left to say... OH. I'd love to know where all my US readers are sprouting up from, because I checked my stats today. 85 US viewers and only 31 Singaporean viewers this week. Other countries are all below 31. Seriously, where are you guys coming from??

Maybe I should put up a tagboard and insist everyone tag, though I don't think you'd listen to me ahahaha. My stats tell me no one's been googling me and only about 10 people came from my friends' blogs, soooo I believe you all have been directly typing my URL into your browsers.

Which is flattering, but I really want to know how you all even got a hold of my blog url in the first place. I'm seriously considering putting up a tagboard.

Right. I'll be off now to watch more I.aM.mE videos and possibly contract depression.

Nothing to kill or die for.

I'm currently listening to John Lennon's Imagine. It's a lovely song, unrealistic but deep. (Isn't it always that way?) There will always be religion, bloodshed, suffering and poverty, at least as long as mankind is around.

Well anyway,

(Ooh Mayday Parade's Anywhere But Here is on now!)

I feel like I'm wasting my holidays away. I get up at 10 or 11, and if I don't go out, I laze at home with mtv, my phone and anything tasty I find in the fridge. Then I use the laptop and blog while I listen to music, or read a book till midnight, then I sleep. Like a pig :/

Recently I've been watching a lot of I.aM.mE and Poreotics videos, and I get really depressed when I watch I.aM.mE videos, mainly because of Chachi Gonzales. I love Chachi, she's my inspiration, but it doesn't help that she's only four months younger than I am. Fifteen years old, and she's won America's Best Dance Crew and taught dance to people older than her.

And I watch her videos, and just get more depressed because I'm sitting here watching her shine onstage, which makes me feel like I've failed my life or something. I know it doesn't make sense. Plus, if there's something I really suck at, it's dancing.

So I just get into one of my sulky moods because I don't see how Chachi can be so talented and I can't. Honestly, I'm mediocre at almost everything I do, it's true.

But still, I love Chachi. Just as much as I love Moon, Jaja, Brandon, Emilio and Pacman. Gawd, the way Pacman moves should be illegal, it's like he doesn't own a single bone in that body. Nuts, I tell ya. And Moon's choreography is sick.

But back to the main topic. I'm going for an admin job interview on Monday with Jiams, Elaine and maybe Dionne... hope we get the jobs so I won't feel like I'm wasting my holiday away! Right now I'm neither a student (graduated long ago) nor a worker, so I feel like I'm not contributing to society at all, just sitting here rambling my butt away.

I wanna be useful!

But there's room for two, six feet under the stars

As you can see from the title of this post, Six Feet Under The Stars by ATL is my current favourite song... Along with a few others that the awesome Dionne recommended me... She told me to go listen to a few bands like The Cab and The Pretty Reckless and so I did. They have amazing music! I heard The Cab is great live too, so if they ever come to SG, I'm definitely going. :)

Oh yeah, I'm not blogging about the rest of the Taiwan trip anymore, sorry if you wanted me to! I just read the other girls' blogs and thought it'd be better if you guys read their Taiwan posts instead cause they have pictures and all and the posts are much more accurate. My previous post on Day 1 and 2 were only produced based on my memory ahaha.

Lianne: catchingaeroplanes.blogspot.com
Tania: tania-ng.blogspot.com
Emily: emilychok.blogspot.com
As for Zijun, I don't think she blogged at all about Taiwan hahah.

(Random: I'm listening to Disenchanted now and it reminds me of Lifang, I miss that girl and she hasn't been replying my texts --> I sound like a clingy boyfriend)
Anyways, today I finished reading Saved by the Music and it's gorgeous. Best read in a long while. Plus it ended in a happy ending, and I love happy endings.

It's about the two main characters, Willow and Axel, as they discuss Shakespeare's famous quote, "All the world's a stage, and all the men and women merely players."

-

"But Shakespeare was right," he said. "We are all just players. We have no control. Someone else wrote the script, and we're all at their mercy. It's like the witches in Macbeth predicting his fate, luring him to it. The die is cast."

"I'd say Macbeth's fate had more to do with his pushy wife."

"I'd just like some choice. I'd like to write the script for once."

"Then pick up a pen."

-

And there it was, like when I read that line I was just- wow. Mindblown. It's just one short sentence that kinda closes the subject, almost like Willow's saying, really easily, that we can all write our own fates, nothing's really written in the stars.

It's an amazing book. There's so much more I would quote, almost the whole book in fact, but of course I'm not doing that, it's nuts.

Well basically this book's about Willow, neglected and quite alone, who goes to stay with her eccentric Aunt Agatha (This sounds like Charles Dickens' Great Expectations) for the summer. And there she meets Axel , a troubled boy three years older than her, with a disturbing past.

I know it sounds cliched and all, even I wasn't expecting much when I borrowed this book. Sounds like some typical boy-meets-girl (and vice versa) summer love story, right? But it ain't.

Axel is deep, from the way he talks in the book, you'd think he was fifty or something. He's full of philosophy and Shakesperean quotes, also depressed and sick with life.

Oh and the author describes him as a young Jim Morrison double, complete with the straggly hair and hippie look, though in the book he's only eighteen. But I see him as a Warren Peace. The guy from Sky High with the fire power.

I love this book, I just wish I didn't have to return it :(

Anyway, it's bedtime. 10.53pm now. I think I'm re-reading the book tomorrow ahaha.

And in the daylight we could hitchhike to Maine

Currently listening to Daylight by Matt&Kim. I love Matt&Kim, their songs make me feel so happy :)

Ahhhh, like a good ol-fashioned nightmare~

Yeah I know that wasn't the same song.

Aneewayz. There aren't gonna be any pictures in this post, it's just gonna be me rambling on and on in a long summary (ironic) about my recent trip to TAIWAN with Tania, Lianne, Emily, Zijun, Tania's parents and her uncle.

Also, I'm listening to music as I type so forgive any grammatical/spelling errors, it's kinda distracting.

Basically, we all flew from Singapore to Hongkong and finally to Taiwan on the 17th of November, three days after my 'O' levels ended! Came back on the 25th, which is three days ago.

First half of the trip was spent in Yilan, second half in Taipei. Yilan was mainly scenery, mountains, that kinda stuff. I personally prefer that; the countryside is more my thing than the city. Having been made, born and raised in Singapore City, I think it'd be nice to experience country living for a while.

(THE WANTED'S ALL TIME LOW IS NOW PLAYING YAY)

DAY 1.

Our first day and first night was actually spent in Taipei though. On the first night we did a bit of shopping around a night market that we had to take the public train to. The train stations in Taiwan are extremely organised; you actually have to queue up to wait for your turn to get into the train. Peak hour, however, is crazy. We could barely move at all during peak hour in the train.

Our first hotel was called Lucky Hotel I think. No laughing. The furnishings were okay, it's not posh at all, but it looks pretty decent, not dingy or anything. When you walk past it on the street, though, you'd hardly think it was a hotel. It looks more like a clinic.

At night we had cup noodles and watched America's Next Top Model. First night sleeping there was terrible. I woke up about three times, each time thinking it was daylight already. The first time I woke up, I heard Emily mentioning it was only 2am when she was talking to Lianne. I honestly thought it was 7 already :/

And it can't be jetlag or anything since Taiwan and Singapore have the same time. What made it creepier was that all of us experienced the same thing; we kept waking up lots of times during the night, thinking it was day already...

Expenditure for Day 1
1. Mneral water
2. Meat bun
3. Almond milk tea
4. Cup noodles
5. Sweets

DAY 2.

Second day, we woke up and went to the nearby Starbucks to get coffee. I got a vanilla cream that didn't have any caffeine in it. It was okay I guess, just tasted like liquid vanilla ice-cream ahaha.

We shouldn't have gone to Starbucks though, because later we went to a mountaintop to drink Mr. Brown coffee. It's a coffee chain that's apparently very popular in Taiwan; later throughout the trip we saw a lot of Mr. Brown coffee stores.

The view atop the mountain was amazing, but it was warm outside so we were all squinting at our cameras. Oh and I didn't bring a camera or my phone or any technological device like that, so don't expect any pictures. I think the other girls will post pictures on Facebook though.

I shared a hazelnut coffee with Lianne, twas pretty nice but I'm not a big coffee critic so most coffee tastes fine to me.

Later we went to a museum or something like that. It was situated near a lake that had real ducks in it. (Yes, I'm a deprived Singaporean kid; we rarely see ducks in ponds here)

I bought three identical brown notebooks that are almost all plain on the outside- one of my favourite purchases from the trip. I'm prolly gonna use em when I go to JC. If you know me well enough, you can guess how I'm gonna decorate them.

(GRAVITY, DON'T MEAN TOO MUCH TO MEH)

The 7-11 stores in Taiwan are also different from ours

(OMG MY FAVOURITE ALL TIME LOW SONG- DEAR MARIA, COUNT ME IN- IS ON)

in the sense that they have Tea Leaf Eggs EVERYWHERE. Yong tau foo stalls as well! I wish Singapore had those :/

Expenditure for Day 2
1. Vanilla Cream (Starbucks)
2. Hazelnut coffee (Mr. Brown)
3. 3 notebooks
4. Tea leaf egg

Kay there, so I've done a post on Days 1 and 2. I'll prolly do a post on the rest of the days when I'm not lazy... Keep reading, beautiful people! :)

We'll hit south Broadway in a matter of minutes

HELLO. I'm back after an extremely long hiatus.

(Excluding that previous last-minute post before our emath exam hahaha)

I checked and I have over 500 pictures in my phone waiting to be posted. Since it'd be nuts to post all at one go, I'm just gonna upload the latest 50! I haven't been doing much for the past few weeks anyway. I mostly went to the airport to study on my free days, sometimes with a friend or two, most of the time alone. Btw, please excuse any grammatical errors in this post cause I'm writing as I listen to All Time Low, and it's a lil distracting, but I love it. All Time Low's fast becoming my new favourite band! (Don't worry Mcr, you'll always have first place though)

You know, sometimes I look at my stats (This month I've had more than twice the number of US readers than Singaporean) and wonder if all these foreign people coming to my blog are actually celebrities. I mean, you never know. If I were, say, Gerard Way, I'd prolly want to check out my fans' blogs just for fun. Wouldn't you? (Don't lie, I read minds)

Aneewayz.

So as I was saying, these past few weeks actually passed by really really quickly, much faster than I expected actually. I'm glad I survived this week; it's been crazy having seven 'O' level papers crammed into five days, I don't know what those Cambridge markers were thinking! Andddd. They're all the heavy subjects. Let's see, um, two amath papers, one chem paper, one physics paper, one literature paper, one ss paper, one music paper. Nuts, I tell ya. Not gonna say much about the papers; they're over anyway. I'm just hoping for the best right now :/ I honestly wanna get into VJ because it's good and most AHS people are aiming for that, and I like AHS people :)

(Omg I'm listening to Too Much by ATL right now and the way Alex says 'too much' is so Asian HAHAHA. And I actually prefer the live to studio version)

So after the music paper yesterday (YAYYYY) I went to meet Lianne at Tampines and we went to Tania's house to COOK. Hahaha I'm pretty useless in the kitchen though. I'm terrified of getting burnt so I refused to go anywhere near the fire or even hot water. It's funny though, I never even knew I was that scared of heat.

So I mostly did chopping, cutting, mixing and washing up. There was beef with vermicelli and carrots, broccoli with celery, fishcake with chilli, and another vegetable dish but I can't remember what it was. Tania's dad also made chicken for us, it was the yummiest dish HAHA. The chicken was so tender. -droolz- Now I feel hungry.

Tania even planned to make Korean pancakes as well but in the end she scraped it cause we were all too tired. After dinner we looked through Tania's photo albums and then played cards! (Aw, we sound like a family) Playing Cheat is stressful! Left her place at almost 11pm and Lianne and I took trains home. I surfed Youtube after I got home so I slept at 1am. Happened to wake up at 8am but I didn't feel tired at all; I think I was too excited for me and Lianne's shopping trip today. LOL.

Got dressed and went to meet her around 1130am. I thought I looked fine but when we got to Orchard I felt extremely under-dressed D: We walked around Orchard, malls and all. I've missed shopping so much! Didn't see much that I liked though, except for a few tops. Lianne says I like anything that's grey or has stripes on it hahaha which is kinda true. Also, I didn't think I spent much but the grand total for the day was 51 bucks! Spent on lunch and dinner which were relatively cheap (both below 5), an ice-blended Small mocha and a grey dress. Lianne was worse, she spent 65 ahahaha.

Oh and I wanted to buy an album as well but there wasn't anything to buy :/ Checked with Gramaphone and they don't have any copies of The Black Parade, islandwide. The girl at the counter got my hopes up by telling me she thought Cathay might have a copy or two, but turns out they didn't so my hopes were dashed :'( She was wearing a Saosin shirt though, so I forgive her.

OH and today would've been almost perfect if not for the fact that I dropped my phone and the whole screen cracked. It looks downright terrible right now though, and even that's an understatement. I'd say it looks like a huge family tree fell and imprinted itself really well on my phone. My poooooor baby. Heart might've broken when I picked it up from the floor and saw the damage. I honestly thought the damn thing would be fine cause I've dropped it a million times before (Oops) but... Ugh. How careless of me. And now it'll take like 200 to repair it... Thing is, I thought my parents would be mad at me but they weren't at all so now my guilt's increased tenfold. #firstworldpains

Soooo. Ending the post here cause the hydrochloric acid in my stomach is irritating me.

Dress I bought!
I like this shirt but it kinda looks boyish
This is the 1000th picture in my phone. I find it hilarious but you prolly won't unless you're an Mcr fan as well hahaha
THIS. Walked into my room in the dark when I was home alone and got a shock when I saw my uniform there, it looked scary
Brendon & Spencer of Panic! at the Disco. -melts-
Took pictures of yee mian to show Jiams cause the nub (noob?) doesn't know what it is
The dishes me, L & T cooked at Tania's house!
Lunch
I look like a hippie

Step Up

I'm in the school library now with Lianne and Tania! OUR EMATH PAPER STARTS IN LIKE ONE HOUR. I honestly am feeling the pressure now, and the next week we have seven papers, so of course I won't be blogging much. Not that I've blogged much recently. Which I am sorry for! (Not really) Anyways. 36 VIEWS FROM AMERICA AND 4 FROM SINGAPORE. Whut is up with you people? But I'm still kinda glad that there are (no-life) people reading my blog and waiting for updates :') Either that, or you guys are just stalking my old posts. In about less than one hour, me and all the other fifteen/sixteen-year-olds in Singapore wil be taking one of the most important examinations of our lives... -tense music plays- Ahaha. Let's show those brits what we kids are made of.

"I'll see you cats on the flip-flop. Laterrrr!"

Soooo. It's my birthday, fellas! :D Thanks to Lifang, Yueyao, Jiaminn, Yiying, Zhenying, Lianne, Dionne, Lynchua, Elaine, Denise, my cousins Janet and Jackie, aunt and uncle, Zhitao, and of course my family, for wishing me happy birthday, you guys are awesome, xoxo. And yes, that's the order of the people who wished me LOL. Lf wished me at 12 midnight, so sweet of her :) Today I woke up in the early morning, had breakfast with my dad at Bedok and he drove me to tuition class, then I went to the airport to study with Zhenying. Way to spend my birthday-sunday, huh? Haha but it was cool anyways. Everything felt like so normal, like it was just any other sunday, until Lianne and Tania suddenly popped out of nowhere at Coffee Bean with a cake in hand and started singing the happy birthday song to me. I know it prolly sounds dumb, but... my first thought was that they were there to study as well and I was gonna say, OH HEY what a coincidence! Then I processed the meaning of the cake and everything clicked in place. HAHA. Okay I just made myself sound silly, but I'm lazy to delete that since I'm using my phone to blog. So I felt like everyone was staring at me when in actual fact I think only two or three tables even bothered to glance at us HAHA. Twas pretty embarrassed at first, and then it got awkward because Zhenying and Lianne & Tania aren't exactly close. But well, it was still pretty funny, especially after Tania posted the video of my reaction to their surprise on Facebook. She won't delete it >:( But yeah, thanks to L&T for the pretty cake and pretty cards that're just as pretty of both of you! (cough) Then later my family and I went to Paradise Inn to have dinnerrr. So all in all, today was a pretty cool day <3 Know what would make my day even more? Watching School of Rock for the hundredth-and-oneth time! :D So yeah, thanks to everybody for everything hahaha. Best sweet sixteenth ever. BYE ~

"This is Spider. He's replacing you."

"Dude, you could be the ugliest sad sack on the planet, but if you're in a rock band, you're the cat's pajamas, man. You're the bee's knees." I love Dewey Finn! And did I mention that I really like James Durbin? His cover of Maybe I'm Amazed makes me amazed. His voice reminds me of older singers from the 70s or something. I think this guy is gonna go places, if only more people would listen to him. I really hope he doesn't sell out or something though. Big waste of talent if he does. I've kinda lost my motivation to blog recently. Maybe I'll get it back after the big 'O's. Ahwell. BYE ~

"It's, uh, a rare blood disease. Stick-to-da-man-niosis."

(In the classroom, watching time tick away as the children sit quietly)

Dewey Finn: "Ugh. Just... go out and have recess."

Summer: "My parents don't spend fifteen thousand dollars a year for recess!"

Dewey Finn: "Fine. You wanna learn something? You want me to teach you something?"

Summer: "Mm-hm."

Dewey Finn: "Give up. Just quit. Because in this life, you can't win. Yeah, you can try, but in the end, you're just gonna lose, big time, because THE WORLD is run by the Man."

Frankie: "Who?"

Dewey Finn: "The Man. Oh, you don't know the Man? Well he's everywhere. In the White House, down the hall, MISS MULLINS, she's the Man.

And the Man ruined the ozone, and he's burning down the Amazon, and he kidnapped Shamu and put her in a chlorine tank!

There used to be one way to stick it to the Man, it was called rock 'n' roll. But guess what? Oh, no. The Man ruined that too with a little thing called MTV!

So don't waste your time trying to make anything cool, or pure, or awesome, because the Man's just gonna call you a fat, washed-up loser and crush your soul. So do yourselves a favour, AND JUST GIVE UP!"

-Miss Mullins enters classroom-

Miss Mullins: "Mr. Schneebly?"

Dewey Finn: "OH."

Miss Mullins (coldly): "It's after ten. On Tuesdays, the children have music class."

Dewey Finn: "Oh, um, good work people, we will continue our lecture on the Man when we return. Have a good music class."

"One great rock show could change the world."

I honestly think Youtube was one of the best websites ever invented, alongside Google. All those endless videosssss! Endless parodies, endless mvs, endless movie trailers, endless funny clips, endless hilarious comments to laugh at.

I think I could spend my whole afternoon watching all my favourite movie trailers. Okay this is random but I just watched the Easy A trailer and Penn Badgley is HOTDAMN. Like Cam Gigandet. But oh no Cam is better. <3 I can't believe he's married with a baby daughter. Ahhh.

"There's a higher power that will judge you for your indecency."
"Tom Cruise?"

AHAHAHA WIN. I need to add Easy A to the list on the left of this page.

Anywayz. I think I've kinda lost the motivation to blog. I used to seem to have endless things to say; it was kinda like a ICAN'TWAITTOGETHOMETOBLOGABOUTTHIS thing. Now it's like... meh.

I mostly just talk about random stuff, like music. Speaking of music, WHY DIDN'T ANYBODY TELL ME ALL TIME LOW WAS SUCH AN AMAZING BAND? I recently just watched them live on Youtube and DAMN. Alex Gaskarth can frigging sing.

Oh and Christine also recommended me a couple of Mayday Parade songs and some of them are actually pretty good. I like their lyrics. It's an acquired taste, though. I thought I didn't like it initially, then it got stuck in my head and I was like ah well. BLACK CAT is one of my favourites.

YOU'RE LIKE A BLACK CAT WITH A BLACK BACK PACK FULL OF FIREWORKS AND YOU'RE GONNA BURN THE CITY RIGHT DOWN NOW, WHOA-OH, WHOA-OH

Haha see what I mean? Got sidetracked. And I have nothing else to say. -___- I used to blog in absolute detail, like I'd talk about what I did after school and what happened and what I laughed at and what I ate, totally random things. LOL.

Okay let's think what I did today. Uhhh. Prelims 3 are drawing to a close. I've only one exam left! YAY! Today we had Chem and Physics Paper 1, then Jz, Yy, Nigel and I went to 18chefs' for lunch.

The others practically ate half my lunch because the hydrochloric acid in my stomach somehow decided to stop attacking the walls around them. Which in short, means I wasn't that hungry anymore.

I think I developed abs from all the laughing. They're not visible now, but we'll see tomorrow. And then, I went to Tampines 1 to buy the two shirts from New Look I've had my eye on for a week, while Yy and Nigel went to roam around Simei.

After that I went back to Simei to find them, and we went to my place. Ended up laughing at random shows on tv before finally settling on Anaconda: Hunt for the Blood Orchid. It was nice! Don't you just love reptiles?

I've always been fascinated by reptiles. Snakes, crocodiles, whatever. I used to read about dinosaurs too, and I even had dinosaur figurines. I remember my favourites were the Parasaurolophus and the Euoplocephalus, and I called them Para and Euoplo.

Then I'd group all the herbivorous dinosaurs together, like the Triceratops and Iguanodon and Protoceratops and the above two, and the carnivorous dinosaurs together, and me and my brother would make them have wars. Ahaha.

Then the Pteranodon would just be swooping around randomly with nothing better to do cause we didn't know where to put him; he didn't fit anywhere cause he was primarily a fish-eater and it didn'tseem right to make him stand with the likes of Tyrannosaurus, Allosaurus and Velociraptor. Oh Velociraptor was way cool.

AH I MISS PLAYING WITH DINOSAURS. ):

Anyway, abrupt end here haha.

How do you get up from an all-time low?

Okay, so I'm warning you guys beforehand; this post is kind of like a rant. Well, actually it is a rant.

SO. Today morning I decided to pack my stuff and go to BK to study, like an average Singaporean teenager preparing for the big 'O's. I camped there till about three, and then this lady, the manager I think, came up to me and asked, well, more like demanded, "Excuse me, are you going to buy anything?"

And I said no, and she replied, "Then I'm going to have to ask you to leave. My customers have nowhere to sit, and you're occupying our table." What she said was reasonable, and I agree that it was my fault too, I should've realised it was getting crowded, but what I really didn't like was the way she spoke to me, like I was going to put up a fight.

It was hostile. I mean, I'm fifteen, not five, I get what you're saying, and if you're asking me to leave to make space for your customers, I'd gladly do so, but with that tone of yours, needless to say, I'm leaving for good. Her attitude was completely unnecessary.

Then as I was leaving and two little girls came to occupy the table, their maid gave me a really dirty look, like I'd done something terribly wrong. Woman, is it my fault I can't concentrate on my studies at home and I'm trying to find a place to study for myself?

I'm not hating on the manager or anything; I know it's just her job, but even if you're frazzled, please don't take it out on us students. We may be students now, but who knows where we'll be ten years down the road? Maybe people above you on the social ladder.

I'm so tired of staff everywhere looking at students trying to study like we're the freaking plague, especially if your restaurant is empty and we're just occupying unneeded tables. So it's become our fault that we don't have places to study?

You can give a fish water for it to survive, but you need a tank as well. Everyone expects students to study hard, but what can we do if we don't have conducive environments to study in? Maybe the government could, oh I don't know, stop building malls and start making space for students to stuff facts into their brains in. (I feel like I'm writing a baozhang baodao and this is the jian yi part)

So, yeah. In the end I had to go home, and I just ended up wasting time at home due to all the distractions. My phone, my radio, whatever. Ugh. I'm the master of procrastination. Like right now I'm blogging instead of studying for my chem exam on Monday. Joy.

On a lighter note, ALEX GASKARTH IS SO HOT. I loooove the way he moves when he sings in the I Feel Like Dancin' mv. It's so punk rock-ish. I dunno if you get what I mean, but yeah. All Time Low is awesome.

Andand. The Wanted is hotttt toooo. Especially Max George and Jay Mc-something. I don't know how to spell his surname. Ahaha.

Okay okay. I desperately need to go study. The guilt's kicking in.

Dewey Finn: "Okay the first thing you do when you start a band is talk about your influences. So who do you like, Blondie?"
Marta: "Christina Aguilera."
Dewey Finn: "Who? No, come on. Shortstop?"
Leonard: "Puff Daddy."
Dewey Finn: "Wrong. Billy?"
Billy: "Liza Minnelli?"
Dewey Finn: "What? No! What are you- you guys, I'm talking about bands that rock! Led Zeppelin!"
-class stares-
Dewey Finn: "Don't tell me you guys never got the Led out."
-stares-
Dewey Finn: "Jimmy Page, Robert Plant? Ring any bells?"
"..."
Dewey Finn: "Okay what about Sabbath? AC/DC...? Motorhead?? OH WHAT DO THEY TEACH IN THIS PLACE?!"

HAHAHAHAHAHA.
I laugh everytime I watch that part.
Seriously, I cannot think of anyone more suited for Dewey Finn than Jack Black.
They're sooo similar. Love School of Rock!

So I'm at Starbucks alone now, studying. Prelims 3 start tomorrow. D:
Alrighty, back to mugging. Haha

Why, Delilah?

I saw the light on the night that I passed by her window
I saw the flickering shadows of love on her blind
She was my woman
As she deceived me I watched and went out of my mind

My, my, my Delilah
Why, why, why Delilah
I could see that girl was no good for me
But I was lost like a slave that no man could free

At break of day when that man drove away I was waiting
I crossed the street to her house and she opened the door
She stood there laughing
I felt the knife in my hand
And she laughed no more

My, my, my Delilah
Why, why, why Delilah
So before they come to break down the door
Forgive me Delilah I just couldn't take anymore

I lubbb Tom Jones' voice. So solid.
In an oldies mood today, as you can see.
Always On My Mind by Elvisssss <3

Seriously, what happened to good music and talented singers?
It's like all the amazing artistes took talent away with them when they passed.
Still, there are great pop musicians.
Like Leona Lewis and Jessie J and Eminem though I don't know if he can be considered pop.

Aneeways, off to study for ss ):

"rock got no reason, rock got no rhyme"

LET'S BLOW A HOLE IN THIS TOWN
TOO MUCH TALKING WITH THE LASER BEAM
GUNNING OUT OF THIS PLACE IN A BULLET'S EMBRACE
THEN WE'LL DO IT AGAIN

THE PAPERS SAY
JOHNNY COULD YOU COME BACK HOME?
CAUSE EVERYBODY KNOWS YOU DON'T
WANNA GIVE YOURSELF UP
TELL THE TRUTH AND GOD WILL SAVE YOU

Just came back from the fish farm.
Honestly, I thought I wouldn't like it. But I guess I forgot what a country girl I am. There is something very tranquil about just sitting on a plank looking out at sea and the greenery beyond with your feet dipped in water; it's just amazing.

My dad called it 'admiring scenery', my mom stood indoors and asked me why I was 'sitting out in the sun'. I guess she much prefers the city, then. I got slightly annoyed with her at one point because she's scared of dogs, and she kept insisting that the German Shepherd there (which I've decided to nickname Crack because he acts like he's on crack with all the running around) be tied up at the second house.

Of course, Crack wouldn't stop whining and in the end we set him free and he came back to terrorise my mom, who screamed for help whenever he came within a 2m radius of her. Sweet.

Hahaha I just realised you readers prolly have no clue whatsoever what I'm rambling on about. SO. My dad suggested last week that me, my mom, brother and his friend's family, namely Uncle M, Auntie Cj, their 20-year-old daughter Marianne, 12-year-old son Kelly and Marianne's boyfriend Cavan, come visit his fish farm for a day.

We went to Changi and got there by a motor boat. It was exhilarating. I sat next to Auntie Cj on the way there and my mom on the way back, and both of them were clutching to me for dear life. Looooove the wind in my hair, though it was a bit scary at first, like a Viking ship. Up down up down up down

Then we got there. Okay the whole fish farm floats on planks of wood which in turn are supported by barrels pumped with air, so the entire structure floats on water. When it's high tide out, the whole house moves along and everything starts creaking and shifting around. A little unnerving, but we got used to it. Oh but the fish farm still stays at one spot in the sea though, because there are reaaaally heavy anchors that stop it from moving too much, or else we'd just float away.

The house has four bedrooms with beds, cupboards and a tv in one which two Indian workers occupy. The rooms are really stuffy so I'm glad we cancelled last-minute plans to stay over. The living room is combined with the dining room. There's a sofa, small glass table, dining table and a tv, along with a lot of junk that you'd probably commonly see in a fish farm.

There's also a small kitchen. There are two Muslim-Indian workers there, one of them cooks and he makes amazing curry crab, fresh out of the farm :D The so-called bathroom is just a closed room made entirely out of wood, and in the wooden floor there's a cut-out piece of plank. You're supposed to do your business into the sea; the tiny fish eat your poop. Hee.

Oh and there's a small area between the bedrooms, which leads out to a balcony-like sorta thing, except that there 2.5m open gap in the balcony; if you step out of it, you'll obviously plop into the sea. I think it's an amazing idea, cause you can just sit there on the planks with your feet in the water and look out at nothing but sea for a long stretch, then there are islands in the distance.

The living room has no door or wall separating it from the rest of the farm. In fact, the only doors in the house belong to the four bedrooms, one toilet and kitchen. You can step out and walk along planks along 4m-deep enclosures (?) which contain red snappers, groupers, pufferfish, lobsters and I don't know of any more. There are baby crabs which live with barnacles slightly below surface level.

Sadly, since the things are 4m-deep, none of the animals like to come out for us humans to look at them. It's just murky green water most of the time, though sometimes you do see fish coming up to the surface.

A chinese worker who's the only one there fished and he caught a bright red fish, the common kind you see in wet markets, as well as a pomfret-lookalike and a stingray. A worker cut off the stingray's tail because of its poison and threw it in the pufferfish enclosure. Who knew one vicious pufferfish would eat out its eyeballs. -shudder-

Oh and an Indian worker started hacking up the red fish alive. He actually scraped off all its scales with a knife, then sliced it open and took out all its innards, then threw them back into the sea. TT It was horrible. I didn't dare to eat the fish when he cooked it later. The same fate befell the pomfret-lookalike, and then four other full-grown crabs from the farm were cooked with curry.

Auntie Cj brought beehoon and fruit salad for lunch. Yumyum. Then she, Marianne, Cavan and Kelly spent most of the day sitting at the planks looking at fish, fishing and scraping the barnacles with large nets for baby crabs to bring home. My mom spent most of it watching Korean dramas on Marianne's laptop and looking terrified whenever Crack strolled into the house.

She kept trying to get the rest of us to force him out, and she insisted it get tied to a pole at the other house, twice, until he started barking and whimpering. Felt so sorry for him ): I would've been terrified of him at first too, because of his size and dark colour, but after that I realised he wasn't so scary after all. He's so cute :D

He starts licking you for attention whenever you stop petting him, and soon the only fear I felt towards him was the fear of getting pushed into the water by him, cause he likes to pounce on you when your back is turned. Attention-seeker.

I brought homework to do, but I couldn't really concentrate with the ground beneath me constantly floating. Right now, I still feel like the ground's moving even though it's perfectly stable. Hope the sensation goes away soon cause I don't think I can sleep like that.

I think the best part about the whole trip was getting to sit on the planks and soak in the rural feel. Prolly sounds a bit... dumb, I know, but damn, I could really get used to having the wind in your face like that, getting dog sobber all over you and tasting salt whenever you lick your lips.

Worst part about the trip? Probably the ending part, when we were leaving and Crack tried desperately to jump in the boat with us. Trust me, it's not easy trying to chase a hyperactive dog you like away from you with one arm while your mother grips your other arm and shrieks in your ear. In fact, her screaming scared me much more than the dog.

In the end a worker grabbed him by his neck and hauled him away from the boat. He still tried to jump in, poor thing, and ended up falling into the sea. Then when the boat took off he swam after us until we were out of sight. -heart breaks-

I hope the next time we come my mom doesn't come along too, or poor Crack has to tied up and he won't even know why. Still, she does have a valid reason for her phobia. Apparently when she was young, her cousins kept two huge black dogs in their house and got bitten by them. Then both cousins contracted some thing from the dogs (rabies I think) and went mad.

Anywayz. Is it just me, or is the National Day song this year extremely irritating? Like. "In a heartbeeeeeat (some random line) In a heartbeeeeeat (another random line)" Meh. I much prefer Where I Belong and what's that called, Deep In My Heart? We Will Get There? I don't like Home either.

Done with my extremely long post. Hope you enjoyed, gotta go do my music homework now. I miss the farm already! Next public holiday we'll be going back, which is maybe Teachers' Day. If only I could live there forever. No worries, no responsibilities, just the sea, sky and I.

"Seriously, without a first-rate roadie crew, we'll never have a psychedelic show."

I'm gonna start quoting School of Rock till I get sick of it. Which will be, uh, never.

Soooooo.

IFINALLYBOUGHTTHREECHEERSWHOOPEEEEEE

I tried to look for The Black Parade but they weren't selling it in Hmv so I got Three Cheers instead. They're my two favourite Mcr albums. The Black Parade has a more polished sound, and Three Cheers is more like hard rock. But damnit I love both.

There was no one to share the joy with at that very blessed moment though. I was with Tania, Lianne, Emily and Zijun. Emily was telling me not to buy it and to just download everything, which I've actually already done hahaha.

The feeling of buying an album and having no one to turn to and scream to about it without being called a maniac is like giving birth a kid and crying tears of happiness, then you look up at the nurses and doctors and yell "I'M A MOMMY" and all of them just look at you and go, "Okay."

Bad analogy, I know.

Anywayz. I was gonna talk about my mom and how absofreakinglutely hilarious she is.

Today my dad cooked pig's skin. I was making gagging noises and my mom said without having looked at the dish, "Eat it. It's high in collagen, good for your skin." And I said "But it looks like snakes!" knowing full well my momma is pretty much fearless and snakes are her only exception.

She went, "Nonsense!" and looked down at the plate. I'm telling you, her expression when she realised how right I was, was priceless. Then she started laughing and half-heartedly scolding my dad for cutting it up like that. It tasted just as revolting as it looked. -gag-

That's one of the few good things about being chinese; you get to grow up eating exotic foods. Nasty. Yes, we chinese eat just about everything that's four-legged, except for tables. Our language is an art that I am still struggling to master.

I'm digressing. So at dinner my mom told us about how at her school, there's a prayer room for the muslims, and she was unaware the school had recently relocated it to a corner of the teachers' lounge. So one day she was with a colleague in the staff lounge and they were alone there, just doing paperwork.

Then suddenly they heard a voice murmuring. Instantly they looked up and exchanged horrified looks, then they ran out of the room and stood outside talking about it. Then they jumped when the door opened and a muslim colleague came out, apologising for having disturbed them.

HAHAHAHA. Totally lol-worthy.

I'll tell you all how the story ends, where the good guys die and the bad guys win

Currently at a certain somewhere listening to Save Yourself, I'll Hold Them Back. Definitely my favourite song off Danger Days. >:) Okay now I'm listening to SCARECROW. AHHHHHH WHY IS MCR SUCH AN AMAZING BAND.

Leave a dream where the fallout lies
Watch it grow where the tearstain dries
To keep you safe tonight

He burns my skin
Never mind about the shape I'm in
I'll keep you safe tonight
Tonight

Move your body when the sunlight dies
Everybody hide your body from the scarecrow
Everybody hide
Move your body when the sunlight dies
Everybody hide your body from the scarecrow
Everybody hide

~

Ahem. I wish I could fly to Hmv now to buy Three Cheers and TBP.

~

In the middle of a gunfight
In the centre of a restaurant
They say come with your arms raised high

Well they're never gonna get me
Like a bullet through a flock of doves
To wage this war against your faith in me
Your life will never be the same
On your mother's eyes
Say a prayer
Say a prayer

Stacy's Mom

This is Tania's favourite song. She keeps singing it over and over again. So annoying!!!!!

Just kidding. It's Opposite Day today, according to me.

Okay. Not funny. I geddit.

Stacy's mom has got it going on
She's all that I want and I've waited for so long
Stacy can't you see, you're just not the girl for me
I know I might be wrong but I'm in love with Stacy's mom

Hahahaha Tania finds it disgusting. I think it's sick but funny. Fountains of Wayne! Weird band name.

Back home, off the run
Singing songs that make you slit your wrists
It isn't that much fun staring down a loaded gun

I'm so bored. Today I found out Mcr only wrote five songs off Danger Days. Made me a lil disheartened, cause I always had great respect for singers who write their own songs and can make em sound good, all in different ways. Like Ne-Yo and Claude Kelly.

Doubt you'll care, but the songs they wrote are Na Na Na, Bulletproof Heart, Save Yourself I'll Hold Them Back, Party Poison and The Only Hope For Me Is You. Thankfully they're all the songs I prefer from Danger Days, aside from SCARECROW. That one is freaking awesome, it's my favourite next to SYIHTB. And I never really liked Planetary (GO!) or Kids From Yesterday. Vampire Money and Destroya are okay-ish, but I prefer SING and Summertime to them.

I hope they get really good inspiration for their next album, cause I know it's not gonna be easy. They're getting more and more mainstream every album. Mixed feelings about it.

Hahaha I ended up talking about Mcr again, just like every other post.
I promise I'll post pictures soon!

Somewhere downtown where a burlesque queen may even ask my name

Happy birthday Ray Toro! The awesomest bestest dude-with-the-affro lead guitarist of an amazing band. I think you can guess which band that is. Heeeee.

I was watching videos of that particular band yesterday and it was amazing. There was a video where Gee let Mikey speak into the mike and the crowd just went wild. And he just said in that quiet voice, "Hi everybody- (looks at Gerard) What are you wearing?" lmao. All the comments on that video were like 'He talks! Mikey Way talks!" So true. And I loooooved the way Gee yelled "MIKEY F***ING WAY."

One day, I swear, I will buy that 'Mikey Fucking Way' shirt they sell on the official Mcr website.

Ohoh and there was this video where Mikey looked straight at Bob Bryar with this impish smile as he declared, "You know what's Bob's screen name? Bobsdick." And Bob had this omgwtf face and Mikey walked away down the corridor still grinning at Bob, then Bob cracked up. It was such an epic moment. Then to make things even better, Bob said to the camera, loud enough for Mikey to hear, "Wanna know what's Mikey Way's phone number? It's, uh," and then you hear Mikey yelling in horror from a distance, "NOO-OOO."

Oh man. <3

And there was another video made by a fan who mashed up different videos of Mcr together, so that it forms a really funny conversation.

Interviewer: "So what turns you on?"
Frank: "The Way brothers, in particular."
Ray: "Guys."
Bob: "Flowers... And dying."
Gerard: "Balls!"

Ahahahahahah.

Andandand, which Mcr fan could possibly resist watching a tiny clip from the Download Festival 2007? The one where Frerard was at its peak and Frankie kissed Gee. Nawwwww. I know it sounds really really wrong, but I think they were just playing around, though most guys don't exactly kiss each other on the lips very often... But well. Frankie just grabbed Gee and attacked him. And Gee had his hands in Frank's hair before he looked like he realised what he was doing and pulled away. HAHA.

Just imagine Gerard and Lyn-Z's little girl, Bandit.

"Momma, why is Daddy kissing Uncle Frank?"

Well. Looks like the Way parents are gonna have a lot of explaining to do when that happens.

HAHA okay this was a completely random fan-post.
I've nothing much to say anyway, I just wanted to wish Ray a happy 34th birthday.
They're all so old! I really hope someday I'll get the chance to meet them,
they're an amazing band.

Soooo yeah.

I'll be there wondering, did you get what you deserve?

RAWR.

Have you heard the news that you're dead?
No one ever had much nice to say
I think they never liked you anyway
Oh, take me from the hospital bed
Wouldn't be it grand to take a pistol by the hand
And wouldn't it be great if we were dead?

~

Love that song.

Anywayz. I decided to blog for no particular reason. The first week of school is over; I guess it was okay. I like the new timetable, actually. Oh and I only have two prelim 2 papers left. Amath and physics. I feel like time is flying by so quickly. In about four months' time I'll sit for my 'O's, then I'll be preparing to leave school. Just like that, it's been four years in Ahs. I mean, where did the time go??

But honestly, I wouldn't change much if I could relieve it all over again. I think the past four years have been great. I'll miss everything. The thought of starting all over again in a new school... :/ There's that thrill that comes along with it, but I think most of us will just feel apprehensive about the whole thing.

What am I saying? Haha. Moving on. The other day I woke up from one of my afternoon naps and I think I experienced night terror. But it was strange though, I wasn't really scared or anything, as opposed to night 'terror'. But I did feel like everything was very surreal. There was this nightmarish quality about everything I saw at that time, and it was like being in a nightmare you can't seem to wake up from.

So I got really confused, like is this a dream? Then I was brushing my teeth and looking in the mirror, and I looked extremely calm, not at all what I was feeling at the moment. I started panicking and that was when everything got worse. I started feeling like there was more than one voice inside my head, and one of them in particular, was drowning out the rest. Everything inside my head was screaming.

Boy, you have no idea what I felt like. I thought I was losing it. It seriously scared the shit out of me. And I know it sounds stupid, but that voice just started screaming about the most random things, like, what am I doing here? That kinda thing. You're probably thinking I'm some kind of a freak now, but really. It was horrible. I have no idea why that even happened to me.

So I called my parents because I was home alone and wanted to hear human voices, and I just asked about the most random things like 'Are you buying dinner home?' and I tried to sound normal. I mean what was I supposed to say, I think I'm going crazy? But I still felt like I was living in a nightmare. It was only after they came home that everything slowly went back to normal.

Weirddddd. Maybe I wasn't sleeping properly and that obstructed my blood flow or something. Yeah.

Soo. End of post. Haha.

I just researched night terrors, and no, it's not that.

Glasses

"At the young age of 9 years, Michael James Way was struck with the affliction known as nearsightedness. Unable to see such things as the chalkboard, the movie screen (or anything more than 5 feet away) the lad was forced to get corrective lenses. Michael and his glasses spent many fruitful years together. They saw each other through the good times, as well as the bad. In May of 2006 this friendship came to a crashing halt. Michael's glasses met their end tragically, by way of Lasik eye surgery. The glasses leave behind two loving brothers, Ray Ban, Paul frank, and their father Chanel. Viewing times and dates will be announced shortly."

Found on Mikey Way's Myspace page.
HAHAHA WHAT THE HECK, MIKEY.
He must've aced English in high school.

Na na na

Look alive, sunshine
One 'o' nine in the sky but the pigs won't quit
You're here with me, Dr. Death Defying
I'll be your surgeon, your proctor, your helicopter
Pumping up the slaughtermatic sounds to keep you alive
A system failure for the masses; anti-matter for the master plan
Louder than God's revolver and twice as shiny

This one's for all you rock-n-rollers
All you crash queens and motor babies
Listen up! The future is bulletproof, the aftermath is secondary
It's time to do it now and do it loud
Killjoys, make some noise!

Set in the post-apocalyptic future.
It suddenly makes so much sense now.
Love their lyrics.

Remember when you broke your foot from jumping out the second floor?

Soooo. I lied! No pictures in this post. Sorry :) I'm just plain lazy to upload them all. There's easily 200 of them, and it'll take forever! Gah.

Anywayz. Went to the viewing gallery with Tania yesterday, supposedly to study, but I couldn't concentrate at all! Ugh. The view there was just way too pretty. The best part was in the evening, when it's neither too dark or bright and the lights were turned on outside. W-o-w.

Oh and it was absolutely hilarious watching everyone step onto the glass panels to watch the view outside without knowing they were on glass. There was this guy who looked down after stepping on and jumped back and pressed a hand to his heart. HAHAHA. And another little girl ran to the edge of the glass, looked down, looked up, made a face like she was going to cry, and ran all the way back to her daddy and hugged him. LOL.

But personally I love the glass idea. I wanna try going on that cable car that's completely made out of glass. So when you look down you see nothing but greenery far below your feet. So coooooool.

Ohoh and in the evening, this toddler in a pram came along. She's maybe one or two, tops. And this boy who's three or four saw her from a distance and waved and called 'helloo'! And his dad and her mom brought them closer to each other. It was sooooo cute, the way they trotted towards each other and just stared curiously.

Then the boy's grandfather came and took him away cause he wanted him to see the plane moving out -______- Then later the girl's family left and the little boy turned around, surprised to see them gone, then he looked disappointed and said, 'Meimei go already?' (meimei = younger sister) SHOOOO CUTTTTTTTE. D:

Sigh. And Tania said 'Imagine, that boy will grow up to become some horny, noisy teenage boy.' Nooooooo. Damn.

Okay. That's it. HAHA.
