We're the party, you're the people, and this is how we do.

I turned on my computer to watch American Idol audititions 2012. There's this guy I really like, his name's Reed Grimm and his voice control is just perfect. I tweeted about him and his older brother decided to follow me on twitter hahaha. The wonder of technology. I told his brother Trey he should be proud of Reed, and I hope he shows the tweet to his brother -crosses fingers-

Then I watched the best of Steven Tyler from last season. There was this comment which was something like, "I thought Idol would suck after Simon left... then came Steven Tyler." My sentiments exactly!

I also watched Steven Tyler sing with Carrie Underwood on her songs Undo It and Walk This Way. They were both so amazing. Carrie has a crazy voice, I don't know how she's not as famous as Celine Dion yet.

And now I'm listening to Ian Gillan, possibly the greatest rock singer of all time :) Here's the link to a video of him singing Strange Kind of Woman with Deep Purple. It's nuts how he imitates the electric guitar perfectly.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KTVmZhoTZgA&feature=related

Anyway, I apologise for my lack of updating recently! I've been going out almost everyday because I don't like staying at home, it's kinda boring.

It's the eve of chinese new year and my dad's in the kitchen cooking tuan yuan fan. It's one of the few perks of cny; good food *___* The tidbits are only okay though. I like the tapioca chips and love letters. Not such a big fan of bakwa and others like kueh bangkit and pineapple tarts.

I can't actually remember what I did on the 20th and the days before, but I know somewhere around the 18th-20th, Lianne and I went to have a sushi buffet. It was yummy, but unfortunately I'm not the kind who can stuff myself silly at one go, though I'm always hungry.

I only ate about 3 or 4 plates, 2 (or 3?) chawanmushi and... yeah that's all. Oh but I loved the cheese though. Is it called mentai? It's heavenly :3

Oh well, I'm going to watch my dad kill the lobsters.

You ain't the only ones.

Feeling upset because my grandmother came back from living with my aunt. She hasn't been with us for a few months already, she used to stay here sometimes but now she's here again after a really long while and I would be completely fine with it, except for the fact that she's staying in my room. She's always lived in my room, and because of that, I didn't like staying in my room. I don't talk to her much, so it's almost like sharing a room with a stranger. Also, I used to sleep in my brother's room, so I seldom spent time in my own room. Her bed is a sofa bed, and when she's not around, it's this pretty magenta thing that's kinda big for a one-seater, and I like it. There's also a lot more space in my room, in fact it feels kind of spacious. During the time she was at my aunt's place, I started spending a lot more time in my own room. It felt like my room again. I would sit by my window and listen to my music, close my door and sing, and sometimes when I'm feeling high I dance around. I never ever sing in front of my parents; I feel extremely self-conscious doing it. Maybe it's a little weird, especially since they're family, but I'm not proud of my voice at all. My full-voice range is small, and I don't think my tone is pleasant. As for dancing and jumping around, it's not at all a pretty sight. So when I'm in my room, I feel like I can be myself, I can do whatever I like and no one will be there to see me. But now that my grandmother's back, the sofa is gone, as is the spaciousness, even more so after you add in the walking stand thing that she uses to get around. With her also comes the old people odour, and the powders and medicated oils she uses don't help. I'm fine with my grandmother, but now that she's taken up half my room I feel like I've lost something. I'm tearing up as I type, I know it may sound silly to feel so depressed over something like this but I really miss doing things like that. I never realised how dependent on my room I was; home doesn't really feel like home anymore. Without being able to sing and dance freely in my own house unless everyone else is out, it just doesn't feel complete. It also doesn't help that school is starting soon, and I'll soon have to be pouring everything into my studies. I'm not going to be able to listen to my albums on the stereo first thing in the morning. I'll have to tie my hair up, something I don't like doing, I'll have to put on uniform and go to school again. Where will I be without my music? God, I really hope these two years fly past. The best thing I can hope for right now is to find someone with the same interests as me in JC. Or else really, I'll be better off alone. And chinese new year is coming as well. Ugh, I hate cny. I abhore the bright red everywhere, the endless crowds on the streets, the crappy tidbit food, the awkwardness of having to visit, the terrible chinese music that's blaring everywhere. Just, everything about chinese new year. Getting to receive money would be the only exception. I don't even like dressing up. What's the point in it anyway? I look the same every year, just a couple of centimetres taller. I absolutely hate it when people tell me I'm tall like it's a compliment, or when the older generation comments on the lack of meat on my bones. I'm perfectly fine with the way I am, so just back off alright. (for those of you who don't know me personally, no I'm not anorexic) I've never wanted to be drop-dead gorgeous or popular or cool, all I want is to be someone like Gerard or Alex. I want to tell people they're not alone, I want to make a difference through music. That's all I want. But that dream will probably never come true. I have no talent, I was born in the wrong country and I'm not inspirational. That fact depresses me to no end. But anyway, I'm going to convince my parents somehow to change our redundant study room into a room for my grandmother. It probably won't work, but I have to try. I can't help but be an teenager for once. I've had my own room for all these months, you can't just take it away from me now. ~

I don't know who you are.

I'm in love with two of You Me At Six's songs, Stay With Me and Fireworks.

Anyway, I'm gonna do a quiz I got from Daine's blog. I haven't done one in what, years? It's a hundred questions long. Madness!

~

1. Put your iTunes on shuffle. Give me the first 6 songs that pop up.

Holiday by Green Day
Good Ol' Fashioned Nightmare by Matt & Kim

"The girl faded, tattering like a mist under a spear of strong sunlight."

4. What do you think about the most?

Maybe a couple of hours earlier? I practise faithfully everyday.

11. Do you have any strange phobias?
I do! I'm quite a coward actually, I'm scared of lots of things. I'm always afraid of getting burnt, I'm scared of the dark and being alone, even in my own house. I also used to be afraid of heights (starts singing "I lost my fear of falling~")

40. Do you drive? If so, have you ever crashed?

Love that's crazy, yeah

I'm listening to Symphony Soldier all over again :D It's on my itunes and a far cry from having the album itself, but oh well.

I'm spending the day watching All Time Low videos and ransacking the fridge, because I was supposed to go to Jiams' house but she cancelled last minute :(

I don't like staying at home, but I'm not fond of going out alone either. I spent the whole day at home as well. I think I spent Friday the 13th at home as well. And on Saturday I went out with Elaine to City Hall!

I like going out with her because she doesn't like to spend much so I get to save money too! :3 We originally wanted to buy bags, but then I kinda think it's not necessary. I want to get a plain black bag so I can tack my band badges on it, but I don't want to go to school and realise someone else has the same bag.

So I'm gonna use my old purple bag till I go to class and make sure no one has the bag I want :) School starts on the 31st, which is in about two weeks. Really fast.

I'm kind of excited about school, after sort of getting over the depressing fact that I can't go to meridian. Classes are gonna be really small, the guide who showed us around the school said the average is about 23 students.

1F'08 had 40 students, 2K'09 had 36, 3L and 4L had 29, and I already felt like my upper sec class was kinda small. Still, I much prefer a small class to a big one. I really do hope I meet nice people there. I desperately want to meet someone who loves all my favourite bands.

I don't know of any other friends who put Tampines JC as their first choice, so there's a chance I'll be all alone there. Ugh.

Enough about depressing things.

So me and Elaine went to Peninsula first to look for bags. There's this shop at Peninsula that I really like, they have cool jeans, tops and a collection of band tees, but the staff are totally gah. We were just looking around and they just wouldn't leave us alone.

This particular lady kept asking if there was anything we were looking for in particular, and when we left without buying anything she asked persistently, "You don't like anything here?"

Gawd, I know business is poor there, but doesn't she realise she's just frightening away customers? Because of that woman, I probably won't enter that shop anymore unless I'm desperate for band tees.

Anyway after Peninsula, we walked to Marina Square. Elaine kept trying to find Cotton On, but later we realised there wasn't any Cotton On there. I had my dinner at the Subway there. I've missed Subway!

We then decided to go to Raffles City, but we didn't wanna backtrack cause the way back was long, and we used my phone to try and find a shorter, alternative route to RC. It was pretty hilarious cause we would walk one direction and then find out we were going the wrong way, quite a few times :3

In the end we didn't go to RC, we went to Suntec instead. While pointing to one direction, Elaine's hand smacked this caucasian old man's moob. He went, "Ouch!" and she apologised profusely HAHAHA

We found Cotton On there. I've always liked Cotton On, the clothes are comfy and are priced reasonably. Me and Elaine bought a top each! Guess what, mine was a cropped top and it was orange!

It was mainly for the sake of my mom; she always berates (is that the right word?) my love for 'black t-shirts'. I find it annoying when she says that, but it's okay as long as she doesn't start calling me an emo or whatever.

When I got home and showed her what I bought, she actually said "Wah, so ahlian" asdfghjkl when she said that inside I was like, forget it, I'm buying all the black t-shirts I want from now on.

Why I even bothered, I have no idea -____- She just has to judge every single piece of clothing I buy. I regret buying that cropped top now.

Right, I think I'm going to have a late lunch now.

We are the kids from yesterday.

The Kids From Yesterday was never an MCR song I paid much attention to, especially when you have about forty other songs from the same band to listen to :)

But recently I've read that it's Mcr's favourite song off their latest record, and now there's all this hype about a video (It looks fanmade) that an Australian video website posted about ten minutes ago. It's crazy. 'The Kids From Yesterday' is a trending topic on twitter right now, as we speak <3

I can see now why TKFY is their favourite song; it's a reflection of the past and of growing up and becoming the stronger people they are today. It's about finding happiness.

Musically, it's not their strongest song, but it's simple and beautiful. Well, every Mcr song is beautiful, in their own way. It's one of the reasons why I love this band so much; every track sounds different, and every track has meaning.

The TKFY video is rumoured to be fake, although the website claims it's MCRoffical-approved. Personally, I think it looks fanmade, but I can't be sure. It shows numerous clips from different concerts and performances Mcr has staged, and there's even small parts from the Bullets era. Most of it is from the Danger Days era though.

And you can see, from the five-minute video, how the band (Gerard, especially) has changed. I'm so proud of them.

699th post!

Well as you can see, I edited some things on my blog. I added links, changed Welcome to the Black Parade lyrics to Remembering Sunday lyrics, enlarged my font size.

I actually only wrote Dionne, Lianne and Tania's urls under 'Links' initially, but then that would look pathetic, so I added Emily and Zijun! LOL. Most of my readers actually come from Dionne's blog, and a smaller portion come from Lianne's and Tania's.

I would also like to promote Elaine and Jiams' blogshop! I hope you won't assume I'm being biased or anything, because I'm really not. These two are two of the sweetest people I know (maybe Elaine, I can't say the same about Jiams hahaha) and they're selling pretty things like pendants, bags, tops and wallets at reaaally low prices.

They get the goods from a supplier and they don't make much; I believe it's out of the goodness of their souls :') I ordered a pendant and a wallet, both of which will be coming very soon! (Jiams says in about another two days) I haven't seen them yet, but like they write on their blog, they are 100% trustworthy.

To contact them,

Jiaminn: jiaminn_2202@hotmail.com

One day, we'll grow up and be kids

Just edited my bio; I feel like I'm giving away too much about myself now. Most of it's also about my musical preferences, but honestly I can't think of anything else to write.

Elaine came over today and we sent in our JAE admission applications together online. I changed my mind about going to poly; my first choice is Tampines Junior College. I feel really upset that I can't go to a better JC, but I only have myself to blame for not putting in enough effort in my studies.

I did enjoy my secondary school life; I don't regret most of it, but ugh. Anyway, no more crying over spilt milk. I just hope I can make it to my ideal course in uni :/

Oh and did I mention Elaine started to feel unwell while at my house, so she went home early? And she texted me an hour ago to say she's having a high fever now. Oh my :3 I really hope it wasn't something to do with my house! And of course I hope she gets well soon :/

"All the world's a stage, and all the men and women merely players."

Up till yesterday night, I was pretty sure I was going to Tampines Jc. Most of the people I know are choosing jc, and it just seems risky to go to poly. And then Lynchua called me and pyscho-ed me into choosing Sp.

Right now, I'm really confused as to what I should do, because I didn't do well at all- In my opinion I got a shitty score- and so it's either I go to a bad Jc, or Sp, which my mom says is the best poly. She told me she won't let me go to any other poly.

Personally, I like Sp too. It seems like a good environment, but then again, I'll never know until I get there. What's stopping me is that I've always heard that your chances of getting into a university are much lower if you go to a poly instead of a Jc, and also the fact that you get to wear your own clothes.

I don't really want to wear my own clothes to school- like Lynchua said last night on the phone, it'll feel like everyone else has 365 sets of clothes. I'm no fashionista either, I love the t-shirt, jeans and sneakers combination more than anything else.

I was thinking of getting a stack of band tees and wearing a different one everyday :p Monday could be MCR, Tuesday could be The Cab, Wednesday could be We Are The In Crowd, Thursday could be The Beatles, Friday could be Foster the People!

But then again, the course Lynchua tried to psycho me into going to is Creative Writing in TV and New Media. Like her, writing is all I can see myself doing. I've never done well in anything else, and I'm 90% sure that it's gonna be what I'll do when I grow up.

Ugh, I'm just so annoyed. I don't know where to go :(

I don't love you, like I did yesterday

So we're getting our results in about four hours. My heart speeds up really quick everytime I think about it ): Isn't it just nerve-wrecking? That one, tiny little number will change everything and determine how the next chapter of your life goes. Everything that you've put in for the last four years all comes down to this day. To put it lightly, it scares the shit out of me.

The past two months of holidaying has been amazing. I've been to Taiwan, I've been catching up with friends, and the best part of it all is probably playing out all my albums every morning.

It's crazy, and also really rare, to feel so carefree, and how I wish I didn't have to lose this feeling once school starts again. I know I'm really going to miss listening to all my albums everyday.

I've gotten to know a lot of bands over the holidays, like Matt & Kim, Bowling for Soup, All Time Low, Foster the People, The Cab and Green Day. I know Green Day's been around for a reaaaaally long time, but it wasn't until recently that I started listening to them properly. Before I bought American Idiot, I only knew about four of their songs.

JC is going to be tough, but I will survive :) After coming home from the poly open houses, I lightly hinted to my parents that I was interested in going to poly, and immediately they both started on lengthy speeches on why I should go to JC. In short, that means I'm not allowed to go to poly.

I know, either way, I'll have regrets. Going to the poly open houses, I realised the people who go to polys become much more mature and open-minded, as compared to those in JCs. (I'm making a general statement here)

If I go to JC, there's a high chance I'll regret it because I won't be having as much fun as those in polys. If I go to a poly, there's also a high chance I'll regret it if it gets stressful and I realise I could've gone to JC but opted for poly instead.

I guess it all depends on what my l1r5 is :/ I will definitely jump for joy if I get a single digit. Asdfghjkl I'm so nervous now. OH and Zhouyang promised to give me 2 bucks for every A I get >:) I'm so getting 16 bucks. Hahaha NOT.

Right, Teenagers is on The Black Parade now. <3

I walk this empty street, on the boulevard of broken dreams

I loooooove the album American Idiot. It's sooooo amazing. Billie Joe's voice, and Mike Dirnt and Tre Cool... asdfghjkl. Did I mention I love American Idiot?

I spent Jan 4 at home I think. One of my favourite things to do these days when I get up is to put on an album or two. Y'know, start the day right. And then while it's playing I like to play with eyeliner. It's so fun to look scary.

But then it doesn't get so fun when I look at people like Billie Joe Armstrong- 40 years old, and when he puts on eyeliner he looks drop-dead gorgeous. Really. If I didn't know Green Day at all I would think he was 25. Heck, I'd prolly believe it if you told me he was 18 D:

Yesterday, me and Jiams went to Dionne's house :) Elaine couldn't make it. We picked Dionne's little brother Derek from school. He's so chubby now, as compared to when I first saw him three years ago. AND HE DOESN'T REMEMBER MEH. :'(

After a really long while of trying to guess who I was (we even told him my name begins with 'Z' and has four letters) he actually said, "ZACK?"

Anyway, we had spaghetti for lunch, courtesy of Dionne's cute grandmother :D Then me, Dionne, Jiams and Derek played Monopoly Deal. Derek is a drama queen HAHA.

After Monopoly Deal, Jiaminn insisted on watching Step Up 3. I failed to convince her that Step Up 2 is much better :( Unfortunately for her, Step Up 3 refused to load properly. We had to pause it and play this online singing game thing that judges your pitch and tells you what your 'standard' is. Derek owned it.

And even after we finished the game, Step Up 3 was still lagging! So we watched Step Up 2 instead :)

I love Andie I love Chace I love Tyler Gage I love Fly I love Monster I love Cable I love Missy I even love Tuck and Blake and Felicia but most of all I LOVE MOOSE. <3

Today me and Jiamsy went to Singapore Poly's open house. Pam came to find us after a while :) She was insistent on getting the free goodie bag LOL.

We went for three different tours, the one I wanted was Mass Media & Communications, the one Jiams wanted was IT Media and Design (I think) and the one Pam wanted was Business. We also somehow ended up going for the Tourism/F&B tour.

We all agreed that the most fun tour was Mass Media & Communications :) I would love to go to SP, but thanks to the unfair education system, only the top 10% cohort of  poly students get to go to universities.

Hence, if you go to JC and slog two years, it's a clearer path to uni. That leaves me, and most other secondary students, with no choice but to go to JC, unless you're prepared to mug like crap in poly and risk not going to uni.

Still, I'm not really sure what I want to do with my life. I know I'd like to go into Mass Comm, but my ambitions are blurry. I basically like writing nearly anything though. Short stories, songs, poems, even blogging :)

Well, 'o' level results will be out in less than 3 days. I pray I get into the JC I want to go to D: And please let me meet nice people in JC! Haha I mainly want to meet people with the same taste in music as me :')

I'm currently listening to Wake Me Up When September Ends. It must be one of the beautiful songs I've ever heard. This album is amazing; I'll definitely be listening much more to Green Day from now on.

Rian's brother Chase injured his shins and Rian asked Zack to give Chase advice because Zack studied something to do with health in college.

Guess who? It's Lindsey Way and her and Gerard's daughter Bandit. I love this picture :)

Ray when he was a kid asdfghjkl sooooooo cute.

My phone wallpaper. It's lovely.

Stickys that Jiams and Elaine bought for me as a belated birthday present!

EMILIO DOSAL. One of the most talented dancers I've ever seen, and he's also hot as hell.

The above two pictures are linked. It's way too funny omg. And note how Bieber's wearing a cap that says 'Ghetto'. What a poser -___-

Elaine insisted on tying my hair this way LOL

<3

The lady working at the tattoo place, signing a contract that Tania has to sign as well

Tried to step into the tattoo room with Tania and the tattooist but the tattooist just smirked, said 'bye' and shut the door. Then I saw this sign :/

Red highlights :) I've had them removed already though

Mikey Way's infamous sparkly bass!

Emilio Dosal again :))))) I showed this picture to Natalie and apparently she told Dionne she was disappointed in my taste in guys. WHAT :'(

The steamed pork buns me and Tania made at her place! I assure you, they taste much better than they look.

At Birdwatchers' Inn in Taiwan. I somehow find this picture cool

Massive dance crew lmao. I think it's way too much, but it's amazing that they can even coordinate so well.

Got bored one night

SO ADORKABLE.

In Taiwan

I just have to laugh everytime I see that guy next to me and Emily. He's like, I DON'T KNOW THEM.

I usually don't think pictures do a celebrity justice, but this is great :)
Ta-dah, Alex in high school!

MCR in Every Snowflake's Different <3

When I went to my dad's fish farm, we stopped over at a floating seafood 'restaurant' for lunch :)

Spent the night on the farm and woke up the next morning to this :D

The hyperactive farmdog, Crack! The others call him Govi though.

Fishing bait- mussels, tiny fish. It's gross.

Pictures from Taiwan~

Lianne says she likes this picture, me too!

I've never seen such a huge crab in my life. Apparently it's an Alaskan crab.

Me and Jiams were fighting over my phone but paused to pose for the camera

I like this 'dress' a lot but it's 59. Cheh, I could buy something like this in Taiwan for like less than 10!

I swear I'm not fat. It's the thick shorts I was wearing underneath + my posture that caused that bulge LOL

Topshop jeans that I've always wanted!

The lyric booklet for American Idiot. It's the coolest I've ever owned *___*

Dun dun dun, me with eyeliner! I rarely ever post a self-picture.
I'll be off before I have second thoughts about posting this picture
