mY bAnGkOk tRiP =D

yoz !! just came back from bangkok, thailand and it was so fun fun fun... XD

actually monday wasnt so gd i was a bit moody somehow cos it was sooo hot outside and we just went down at the airport which is called something like surawakong... then the plane ride was coming down on me cos i felt a bit sick... @.@

and i felt gloomy. then we went out to the mall and had to walk there. the distance is longer than from tanah merah mrt to anglican. sigh. and it was in the afternoon.

then it was boring because my mum was taking her time to look at everything in the mall and my dad, bro and i were just standing outside the shops yawning. lol.

cos im not someone who likes shopping, on the contrary i think shopping is somewhat a waste of time. =.= oh unless its looking around shopping for food, then thats different. :D

i love food. haha. so yeah, monday was spent shopping.

then tuesday was the most fun day cos we went for a local tour. shiok! morning woke up at 5 plus and went on the van which was like primary school buses. lollss. it went round all the hotels picking up all the people. hahaha. like the school buses picking up children to school.

then our bus only got us 4 Asians. lol. my family were the only Asians. the rest were all Americans and there was one huge Brit man, Europe.

The bus ride was 1 and a half hours long. sianz. slept and woke, slept and ate snacks. then we finally arrived outside bangkok to a coconut sugar-making place. we got out and then they were showing us lots of stuff like the coconut flowers and the sugar. we tried some coconut sugar, it was very very sweet. yucks, too sweeeet.

then we went off again into the bus, stopped 1 hour later at the famous Floating Market, Damnoen Saduak. woah. it was nice, alot of boats and all that. they sell things on boats on a rather murky kinda river. wah, very crowded river. all the boats there, ppl selling all kinds of things from baskets to drinks and fruits to even noodle soups and pancakes and waffles which they cook on the boat and then sell to u.

lol, it was quite an experience. took lots of pics. and bought lots of stuff, snacks. i got a T-shirt and a traditional Thai wrap-around skirt. u have to wrap it and tie it round to wear it. haha, it was very exp at first. my mum bargained alot for both items- my shirt and the skirt. lol, they can be very stubborn, both my mum and the stall owner. haha.

then we left the Floating Market and next was one of my favourite destinations- a Cobra Show. whoo-hoo!! it sounds good, and yes, it was good. wow, it was exp but totally worth it. they took out lots of different kinds of snakes, including cobras and pythons and mangrove snakes.

there was one part when they put a King Cobra into the same tank as a mongoose to fight each other. at first the cobra was much bigger, but the mongoose gave up trying to eat it becos he knew the cobra was too big. so he went to one corner and sat there doing nothing.

so they took out the cobra and exchanged it for a smaller one. then the mongoose sprang into action and started trying to bite the cobra's head. omg then at the last part he succeeded and had the cobra's whole head in his mouth. the man there had to poke the mongoose's head to get it to release the cobra. wow, the mongoose was really strong.

then after the show i looked round at the reptiles they had there. there were komodo dragons and an alligator too. i loved the whole show man. it was so nice. a pity my mum had a phobia of snakes and insisted on staying in the van while my dad and bro and i went to the show. aww...

next stop was an even better place- Tiger Temple!! i was excited and it was so great. they had tigers for us tourists to take photos with. the tigers were quite tame but there was one very playful one who turned round and scratched me on the leg when i bent down to pet it. darn, it should have scratched harder. then i would have gotten such a great souvenir!! lolls. but the scratches disappeared already, even before i came back. sigh, becos of my thick skin. hahas.

the temple has animals wandering freely about. they have goats, peacocks, antelope and wild boars. omg, i had so much fun taking pics. oh ya, there were cockerels and hens also. the baby boars are soooooo cute!!!! if not for the mother and father wandering around like guards with their babies i would have gone up to pet one. sad.

i also got a video of a pregnant goat. its tummy is soo big it's probably due for labour around the week after. it looked funny. lol.

then if im not wrong our last stop was River Kwai. its beautiful. there is a sad story behind it though. but still, the scenery was awesome. i was so engrossed in taking pics i nearly fell off the bridge, which has no support at all so it was scary crossing over. its like theres this metal plank surrounded by thin metal poles and it was worrying crossing the river. especially when someone is coming your way and u have to give way. haha.

well tuesday was awesome, i have to say. then wednesday we visited the grand palace, which is also totally great. thursday we checked out Central Tower, southeast asia's largest mall.

sad to go today. but i had fun. =D loved bangkok!!
