doesn't it just piss you off when people think
what they're hearing is by this artist you love
when it's not? & they sound like they totally know that singer?
like when they hear some random song with a strong beat
& a nice tune & go, 'hey isn't that Ne-Yo?' or Chris Brown?
& you're like, huh? wtf, no. -.- cos seriously, it does not
sound a bit like Ne-Yo. or Chris Brown.
it could be Jalen or some other artist.
but that's not the point. point is,
i get so frustrated when people sound like
they totally know the artist.

argh. okay maybe only people like lynnie will understand.
in any case, i can't stand it when people just blurt out
some random artist name without thinking
once they hear a song that sounds just a bit like that artist's.

another thing is about how people confuse
R&B with other genres like rap & hiphop.
worst of all, techno -.- gawd, get your facts right.
unless you know enough to tell the difference between
R&B & all the other genres, then don't say a word to insult it.
because not only are you offending other people,
but you're also making yourself look like a totally ignorant fool.
& yes, R&B originated from the blacks, just like rap & hiphop.
but this does not mean that they are all the same.
rap is rap. hiphop is hiphop. R&B is R&B.
still clueless? go look it up on Wikipedia.

seriously, i don't mind if you know what R&B is
before you start telling me how much it sucks.
but there are people out there who listen to R&B
without even realising it.
then once the subject of R&B is broached,
they start complaining about how awful it sounds,
how the lyrics don't make sense, how the beat is retarded.

okay? go do your research before you say anything about any form of music.
thanks a lot. note, this rant is NOT directed at anyone in particular.
i'm just saying. sorry for the randomness.
