2nd post today.

and now i remember something else my father told me about butterflies and moths. apparently they love warmth and light. wherever they go, they search for the nearest source of heat and light. and the thing is, they love light so much, they willingly fly towards candles even though they know the heat may be too strong for them and they will get scorched to death.

because they love it so much, they don't mind dying just to be as close as possible to warmth and light. anyway, they will die in less than a few days' time. it probably doesn't matter if they die now, let alone die next to the things they love most in the world. it's very sweet, but very saddening. it shows how while we sit here and lament to ourselves about how hard and long life is, these tiny creatures struggle to love and cherish the little things in life that we humans do not see.

i suddenly realise how dumb i am, wallowing in self-pity 24/7. hai.
