i am currently reading "My Best Friend's Girl"
by Dorothy Koomson, after elaine
lent me "My Sister's Keeper" by JP
and then took it back immediately. =.=
its a fantastic book about a black woman
whose best friend dies of leukemia
[i dont know how to spell it, ok?]
and asks her to adopt her daughter,
who is the three-year-old result
of a one-night stand.

the story is kinda touching,
cos both Kamryn and Tegan
have to overcome their pain
after Adele's death, and learn
how to live together after
not having seen each other for
2 years. im halfway through the book,
and i hope to finish it by tonight :)

anw, yesterday was quite cool.
i realised it was 5pm already
when i was using the computer,
and went to change.
dress code is smart casual,
and i dont like looking smart casual.
t-shirts and shorts are much better T.T

so anw i went to meet the ed people
at tanah merah mrt.
i dont know if i was being paranoid
or people were really staring.

i kept adjusting my jacket self-consciously. o.o
thankfully i wasnt the first to reach.
lidan and rebekah were already there :)
lidan kept saying she looked childish. lol.
at least, she was talking about her outfit.
i tried to make her feel better by saying
that looking young is good.
then one by one nicola, joan and lynn ee
arrived. daine was supposed to meet us too
but she was still at tampines. o.o

then we took mrt to raffles,
only to realise that we were actually supposed
to meet at city hall. lol.
but anw we waited for the sec1s to come.
oh and daine met us there too.
nicola has a talent for acting retarded. o.o
i forgot what happened,
but i think we were led to victoria
concert hall. walked past the singapore
river and cavanagh bridge, quite cool.
met the sec3s and the rest of them there.

miss khoo asked why i chopped off my hair. lol.
then daine and i played the lyrics game
until we could go in.
there was a big crowd all around,
so noisy. no discipline at all. o.o lol.
then we went in at around 7plus,
and got seated. the hall
omg i just realised i influenced lynnie
the meanie, now shes using 'che' too!
we are currently spamming each other
on msn with 'che's o.o

ok i was being random.
-continues- the hall was quite cool,
super big and the seats very comfy :D
the aircon super cold. but i guess
thats good. the play was ...
ok im not gonna say anything bad
about it cos it was a whole hour
and they obviously put alot of
effort into it, but i just feel that
my money was a bit wasted. lol.

i completely dont understand it at all.
there were no words at all,
just alot of people shifting shapes
and blocks to make it one whole
complete shape. there was a rhombus,
lots of triangles and a square,
but when they are all joined tgt
it forms one huge rectangle, like a stage
on a stage. do you geddit? lol.
i think you dont.
but i loved the stunts.
super incredible.

they are damn flexible can!
and super fast.
can run up a thin wall with 0 gradient
and do stunts on it,
like they not scared will fall down.
somemore climb up damn high.
cool! i admire them.
even though i still dont quite
understand the whole play. lol.
one whole hour went by,
then at about 9.15pm we
were dismissed, just like that.

a whole group of us walked to
some memorial place for
a governor-official of india [?]
and stood there chatting,
trying to freak ourselves out.
lynn ee got freaked out eventually
and started smacking my arm.
owww i swear it hurt A LOT.
T.T stupid girl.
i'll smack her back soon.
she keep smacking consecutively
and damn hard leh, better than my brother.

then we walked across cavanagh bridge
while talking about the clock tower
from ahs. haha.
after that daine and i went to find
mac's while the others went to the mrt.
i bought a fillet-o-fish and we walked to mrt.
met almost the entire ed there.
so bad of them, everyone except the
sec2s were there.
got sec1s, sec3s and sec4s, even teachers,
but just no sec2s. tsktsk. outcast us. lol.

so daine and i followed them to mrt,
pretending we didnt know them since
they were making a lot of noise.
haha. took mrt all the way back to simei.
i felt super tired and almost slept
while standing. daine was lucky
to get a priority seat halfway.
then there was this woman who
came in at dunno which stop
with her teenage daughter
and kindergarten son and daughter.
3 children altogether.

she made alot of noise,
and talked super loudly,
esp when the train was so quiet.
everybody was staring at her.
her poor children looked so
embarrassed. the eldest daughter
didnt even bother to talk to her.
then when she came in she
was like saying, ‘你走进去啦，
站在那边叫我怎么进去？’
in a very annoyed tone
to some random commuter.

anw, at bedok i think,
daine and i saw xiaoquan
with her brother and mother. :)
then both of us got off at simei.
i was kind enough to wait with her
for her bus 5. it took forever to come.
by then it was already about 10.45pm.
finally she smsed iris which said
another 5min, so we waited and then it came,
then i went home.
super sleepy and tired.

bathed and then went to sleep.
felt so shuang :D
but i woke up today having a headache.
thats one thing what i dont like about
sleeping late; you always get headaches
in the morning. T.T
