I fell in love with the girl at the rock show
SAS ARE OVERRRRERRTGOISKL LVLF
I feel so free now. So so happy
After physics paper yesterday me and wums went to Pulau Ubin. Yep, change of plans. We wanted to go explore Chek Jawa cause we thought there was a lot of cool stuff there... Well there wasn't sadly maybe cause we didn't go on a paid tour
Anyway we took a bus from tanahmerah to changi jetty and then a ferry to Pulau Ubin. Then we rented bikes ($6 until 6pm, so cheap!) and cycled to Chek Jawa.
Unknowingly took the way longer path and cycled for like 45min or more. I nearly died I swear. And there were so many steep slopes so we (ok just me actually) kept having to dismount to push our bikes. It's times like this when I regret not joining a sports cca haha #nostamina
Then we had to park our bikes so we walked the rest of the way up. While buying drinks at a vending machine along the way we saw 10 wild boars! There was a sign earlier telling visitors not to feed the
wild boars but I didn't think we'd actually see any, much less 10. There was a huge mom and a smaller one and eight tiny babies. Eight! They were ADORABLE.
Then we left around 3pm. The bike ride back was SO much easier. I guess overall it was fun cycling. Like wums said, we went out of our comfort zone :) #achievementunlocked
Dinner was at changi. Nasi lemak and bandung for her, hokkien mee and teh si bing for me
I'm going to make the most out of my weekend. I even have a to-do list! Last long break for quite a while :( Shopping and guitar and ice-cream and lepak-ing ahhhhhh here I come

I'm just a teenage dirtbag, baby, like you
Why is Alex Gaskarth so perfect why? He is the sweetest person ever and he's so down-to-earth and friendly and funny and honest and genuine and playful and the best part is when he sings and his voice, I've heard so many songs but he has such an incredible voice and he's so talented at everything- singing, guitar-playing and writing- and he's grown so much as a singer and as an artiste over the years. And he's gorgeous and tall and I love the sound of his laugh and I used to hate his hair when I first started listening to ATL like what is up with this weird guy but now I love it Alex sometimes I really hate you for being so perfect. I really do. But at the same time I love you. Does that make sense? Well yes it does to me cause I'm in full fangirl mode right now so everything makes sense doesn't it
And it makes me really sad that I'll never get to know you. Or talk to you or get a hug from you or tell you what an amazing person you are and how much you inspire me. But well at least I've seen you live. And it was the best night ever. I think that's close enough.
I love you Alex

But these clouds won't leave
Sitting in front of the departures board waiting for lunch hour to tide over cause I want to go to the staff canteen to study.
I think I visit the airport on an average of twice of week. So often that I'm sick of studying at the staff canteen already but I don't really have a choice since the coffee places would chase me out. That and sometimes I don't really feel like having coffee.
4 papers dowwwwwnnnnnnnnn
I don't really see much of a difference now actually. I mean so what if SA1s are over, there's still CA2s and SA2s and Prelims and the real thing.
I guess one good thing is it takes the pressure off for now. For now. :(
I am so tired. All I really want to do is go jamming, have some sleep or lepak somewhere nice. Nowhere crowded though. I hate crowds.
Ok bye less than 24 hours to sentosa!

I think rock 'n' roll is really funny when it's serious
Sitting at CBTL by myself having cheesecake.
Not really my idea of a proper dinner but. Can't be arsed to get proper food and I don't know what to eat anyway. All this cake is also making me crave some coffee but nooo I can't stay up late tonight
Left with H2 math and H1 physics for SAs! I am so so happy that econs and gp and chem are over. I think I might have screwed up for econs but I don't think I screwed any of the papers that badly to land in STAR programme. I THINK.
Ok gotta study for math now yessah 2 more papers in about 42 more hours and I can go to sentosa with wumsyy and stroll and lie on the ground and camwhore and laze and get dark(er)

Anthem of our dying day
The stars will cry the blackest tears tonight
This is the moment that I live for
I can smell the ocean air
And here I am
Pouring my heart onto these rooftops
Just a ghost to the world
That's exactly
Exactly what I need

Pretend that it's a song, cause forever is yours and we can sing this on the way home
Zoey:
1. Would really like SAs to be over rn
2. Is aware that she has been as productive as a snail over the march holidays
3. Just had dinner and is extremely full
4. Thinks some ice-cream right now would be really nice
5. Has not been listening to any music since she woke up and hence is feeling cranky
6. Is really excited for sentosa on thurs with wums
7. Knows that she shouldn't be going jamming tomorrow but still is
8. Would really like to go home right now

If you were me you'd do the same
Just realised I didn't start out liking any of my favourite bands.
I wrote Mayday Parade and All Time Low off as just some sellout bands when I first listened to them. First song I ever heard from Mayday Parade was Jersey, back in 2011. I didn't like it, I thought there was nothing special about it, but then I went back and listened to it some time later and I fell in love.
And then I'd heard of All Time Low since I was way younger, but I'd never gone to check them out. Till one day when I heard I Feel Like Dancin' on radio, and went to listen to them. Heard Six Feet Under The Stars acoustic on youtube, but again thought it was nothing special, kinda bland. Man what was I thinking then haha.
Got into Pierce The Veil last year. Listened to Caraphernelia but it didn't appeal to me. I thought Vic sounded awfully screechy, like he was straining his throat too much. But they're like my favourite band now, and I cannot express how much I love his voice. Haha
Oh best example yet would definitely be My Chemical Romance. I really owe a lot to them. They were the first real band I ever, ever listened to. (Unless you consider the Jonas Brothers a band, but hey, I still like them)
I hated MCR with a passion, because my brother was going through an MCR phase at the time and singing all their songs. I didn't appreciate Gerard's screamy vocals, wasn't into rock music at all at that time. So I hated them for about half a year, called them a lame emo band and all.
Yeah, I probably would've hated the thirteen-year-old me.
Anyways I have to go do some work SA1s in 4 days I should be stressed but no, here I am watching "All Time Low funny moments part 1"

what's wrong, are you at the wrong concert?
HI EVERYONE HOW WAS YOUR WEEK
I think I've been pms-ing recently. Mood fluctuates a lot. Like a lot. I don't have random crying episodes like L but I do feel very angsty sometimes
Oh and I'm blogging using my dad's laptop yay it's so much easier to type everything out here!
Read a few old blog posts today and realised how my writing style has changed so much. I used to blog in this very weird way back in sec3. Perfect punctuation, some dramatics here and there... but I've gotten lazy these days so you'll just have to put up with... this
Past few days have mostly been spent mugging alone, perhaps that explains the melancholy in me these days :( I think I spent saturday mugging with wums though. She likes to study at the library and I don't, especially not at bedok library. Yes wums I know you're reading this.
And today was spent mugging with Tania. I've missed her :( been ages since me, L and her went out together (I think the last time was christmas if I'm not wrong, or maybe once this year), much less just me and her.
Wasn't very productive haha but s'okay
I think this week will prolly fly by since I'll be busy mugging. SA1s take place in Term 2 Week 1. Some holiday haha. Downsides of being asian
Only interesting thing that happened this week was that my ex-bandmate contacted me (after about half a year of non-communication) to ask if I'm interested in joining an experimental rock band. Hmm quite a drift from the core music I like but anyway I'm meeting them this weekend, just out of curiosity.
Also found someone online who has a bass, case and amp for sale for like $180 wow should I?? I really really want my own bass, don't mind if it's secondhand as long as it's still in good condition.
K anyway I'm going to crash soon haha

Welcome to oblivion
Pictures!
My PTV concert outfit (felt underdresed but nvm it was so comfortable), pictures from PTV, random pics from class, one of my favourite things in the whole world (teh si), last shot of eastpoint before it closed down :'(, screenshot from a sleeping with sirens acoustic video because I love it so much, School of Rock quote, pics from college road run, random pics from our break in class, pics from ATL, cake for our class' March babies (ended up having a cake smash, dirtying the cafe area, attracting a lot of unnecessary attention, and finally, having to mop up the place ourselves lolol), Lianne while studying with me last sat, meme that I just found out some classmates made of me like one year ago.
To be fair, I found it funny. And come to think of it, I remember them saying that they made a meme of me but they refused to show it to me. Mystery solved

Don't go, I can't do this on my own
I don't really recall what I did last week but friday was great. Watched very entertaining drama performances in the audi from MJ, TPJ, SAC and Jun Yuan Sec after cca ended, then me and Xinyi lay on the bleachers to star-gaze while waiting for Lum and Divika, before we all went to have supper together (prata and iced milo = combi that never disappoints)
After school on monday I studied at the library with Shijia, Zongren, Bryan and Zi Quan, before Sj and I took the longer bus route to Tamp for dinner.
Talked about life on the bus and our fears about growing up and becoming adults like what if we don't get married before 30 and how right now as teenagers, our sole responsibility is to study hard and get good grades, but that will soon change once we grow up.
I'm turning 18 this year and honestly I'm terrified of growing up. Most people I know can't wait to start earning their own keep and saving up for houses and cars and whatnot, but I don't ever want to grow up. Life as a teenager is far too easy.
Met Jiams to study yesterday at Bedok Point's starbucks after school let out at 3, which wasn't very productive because I was sleepy and I can't stand reading my econs lecture notes it's so dry :(
Came straight home after cca ended. Cca nowadays is awesome, me and the few other girls who aren't joining syc just have to sit there and study.
While the others have syc rehearsals and a concert to perform for 4 days during the march holidays haha
Well that's all for the week so far

Shooting for the stars, desperately reaching for something in the dark
All Time Low at The Coliseum, Hard Rock Hotel, Singapore on wednesday, 6th March 2013 was probably the best night of my life.
It just blew me away, the amount of effort and energy they obviously put into their show. I always knew they gave 110% for every show but wow it was just crazy.
And I am just so so happy that they love Singapore, I mean they said things like "You guys are some of the best fans in the world" and "Let's just move here man" and idk maybe they say that to every country but then again it's their second time coming here in just two years and there's only one other SEA country they're going to this year.
I remember being so bummed about not being able to make it to the October 2011 concert because of O levels and how me and Christine would tweet each other about how we'd kill to go to an All Time Low concert and now we've finally been to one. It's an amazing feeling knowing you've seen and heard your favourite band live.
Sadly Christine and I were separated during the show though because I decided to not skip school to queue at the last minute, because I had a 1.5h math tutorial that I wanted to attend haha
So she got first row, an M&G pass and a drumstick from Rian that she caught during the show. I am so so happy for her, she deserves it so much.
I met Mistika and Charles after school (2 of the 5 people I went with to Pierce The Veil haha) and we went to Hard Rock together. Reached around close to 4pm and got a pretty decent spot in the queue.
Mistika and I were doing tutorials while waiting hahaha and these malay girls were judging us and talking about us in malay cause Mistika looks chinese so they didn't know she could understand them lolol
We got in around 7pm and waited really long for the opening act, which was Dropbeat Heartbeat, my favourite local band!!
While waiting the speakers played songs in the background and there were so many songs that the crowd knew haha. They played songs like Pierce The Veil's Caraphernelia, Tonight Alive's Breaking And Entering, Mayday Parade's Jersey and Black Cat, Blink-182's All The Small Things.
I was singing and singing and this lady turned around to say after Jersey ended and went 'wow, you have a really great voice' hehe ego boost 10%
DBHB were amazing they never fail to disappoint :)
Then we waited for close to an hour for ATL to set up. My legs were already aching by then, there wasn't even much room for us to move around haha felt so trapped.
Here's the set list
1. Somewhere In Neverland
2. Forget About It
3. For Baltimore
4. Stella
5. Heroes
6. If These Sheets Were States
7. Jasey Rae
8. Damned If I Do Ya (Damned If I Don't)
9. Coffee Shop Soundtrack
10. Remembering Sunday
11. Therapy
12. Lost In Stereo
13. Backseat Serenade
14. Time-Bomb
Encore:
15. The Reckless And The Brave
16. Weightless
17. Dear Maria, Count Me In
I love love love the entire set list and the fact that their encore was three songs I mean which band would do that? Even Alex said it himself jokingly "We're playing three songs for an encore, that's a lot more than most bands give you."
The only thing that would've made it more perfect was if they'd played more songs from So Wrong, It's Right because that's my favourite ATL album, it's just pure classic pop punk at its very best. But s'okay though I did some research on their past 2013 set lists so I kinda expected it
I have to admit though, playing songs like Weightless and Somewhere In Neverland are definitely crowd-pleasers and they get the audience really high so I don't blame them, I had so much fun during those songs anyway.
I loved Stella live omg.
And Heroes, I can't. I honestly didn't really think they'd play Heroes live but they did. I legit screamed at Mistika next to me when they started the song. I love that song so much and now I've actually heard it live. Unbelievable.
If These Sheets Were The States was another song I really really loved live.
And Jasey Rae was just incredible. That song hits so close to home and I was totally pining so hard for them to play it live. It was on my mental list of songs I wanted to hear them play, including Six Feet Under The Stars and Stay Awake, though sadly they played neither but it's all cool.
Nothing beats a crowd that can sing. I totally got chills when everyone sang those memorable lines together; "I've never told a lie, and that makes me a liar. I've never made a bet but we gamble in desire."
Of course they played Remembering Sunday and Therapy, both of which were breathtaking, especially when Alex unexpectedly sang Juliet's part in Remembering Sunday. It was beautiful.
And then Lost In Stereo. I don't even know what to say. Can't even express how I felt when I was singing along.
Ending with Dear Maria, Count Me In was pretty much expected but it was basically the best song they could think of to end the whole set. It was so amazing.
The night was so amazing. And that's an understatement. Thank you, All Time Low. I love you guys so much, and the kind of dedication, blood, sweat and tears you put into what you do really inspires me. x
There's a story at the bottom of this bottle and I'm the pen.

Celebrate the way the night hides scars
Today was great!
After lunch at home I left home at Simei to meet Jiams at Bedok, and we went from Bedok to RP to watch TJ alumnus vs MJ floorball match, then from RP to Tampines to buy Koi, and from Tampines to Pasir Ris to find a place to mug (where we got chased from macs not more than 10min after we got seats and she bought fries there) and finally home for dinner.
All in a span of less than six hours haha
The match was cool it was my first time watching a floorball match and yeah pretty exciting
Just finished my econs homework, super shagged so
Good night x

Second and sebring
Been a really fast week catching up with schoolwork that I was neglecting cause of CAs.
The weeks past so fast it's scary. This week is Term 1 Week 9, and before I can bask in the fact that CAs are over, SAs are in four weeks' time.
Friday was a good end to the week. After lessons and a two-hour break we went to the hall to see the previous batch collect their A level results. I think the results improved, yay. How I wish my name would be flashed on the screen :(
It felt exactly like O level results day. All the screaming and cheering when the names of those who had done well were shown.
But it felt even more like O level results day when my friends and I stood with a senior who didn't do too well and was crying.
It just reminded me of how I cried on O level results day, and how I felt like a failure. I never ever want to feel like that again, I want to cry tears of joy.
So anyway, after that was cca. I had fun at cca for the first time in like one year!
It was orientation for the J1s and we played ice-breaker games. There were five of us J2s and 18 of them J2s. Was a leeeeetle awkward at first but we warmed up soon (I think) haha
Then we got into 3 groups and mixed with the J2s and I was supposed to be in Group 3, then Xuemin and Lecia suddenly popped out of nowhere and literally dragged me to Group 1 (not that I wasn't willing)
We played double wacko and I now know all the names of those in Group 1 yay soon I'll find out those from Group 2 and 3
Need to familiarise myself with the J1s cause I'll be spending time with them since I'm not joining syc
Then we went outside and played some game with flour. Me and a bunch of other girls just stood a good distance from the people playing HAHA.
Xuemin and I were staring and joking about the people blowing at the flour and getting loads of it all over their faces and clothes and at one point I said "oh man I can't take this anymore I think I'm gonna be sick" and we laughed till we couldn't stand straight
I know I say this a lot but I'm really very very thankful for Xuemin being in the same school as me again she totally gets my weird sense of humour and we bitch about everyone and joke about the lamest things together it's awesome hahaha
All Time Low is in 3 days, I can't believe it.
Also, 4 or 5 years back I never would've thought me and Christine would be going to a concert together. She used to be the most notorious girl in the whole school and I was the geek of my rowdy sec2 class, and now we're close, funny what life does
Time for lunch yes food

Drawing on breath from the ashes
Hi.
Had chem CA in the morning and then math lecture on binomial distribution or something (didn't understand anything) then break then 1.5h econs tutorial (always so shagged after econs tutorial well at least I wasn't falling asleep today) then break again then chem tutorial then GP CA and finally we ended at 4pm.
Was also late for school for the 4th time this term and got my ez-link confiscated (and also forgot to retrieve it at GO after school so I spent a ton on transport) and will have to be suspended but who cares I'm going to school anyway.
Ended up over-spending today too, like 13 bucks excluding the amount spent on transport when I'm already broke as it is thanks to my rip-off online shopping :'(
In short, it's been a long day.
Surprised Jiams at Kem after school with Dt, Et and Yy ahaha belated birthday surprise but better than nothing! And 18 is so old omg. Glad I still have like 7 more months.
Came home and watched CSS till 9.30pm and voted 3 times for my classmate who's in the competition. Man chinese pop is really not my thing... but there were some good voices I guess.
Today is my off day. Work starts again tomorrow :( pretty behind for my chem tutorials and SAs are in 4 weeks, I am so so screwed.
Eye circles are terrible.
Good night everyone x

Six feet under the stars
Time to lay claim to the evidence
Fingerprints sold me out
But our footprints washed away from the docks downtown
It's been getting late for days
And I feel myself deserving of a little time off
We can kick it, hang for hours
And just mouth off about the world
And how we know it's going straight to hell
Pass me another bottle, honey, the Jaeger's so sweet
But if it keeps you around then I'm down
Meet on Thames Street, I'll take you out though I'm hardly worth your time
In the cold you look so fierce but I'm warming up
Because the tension's like a fire
We'll hit South Broadway in a matter of minutes
And like a bad movie I'll drop a line
Fall in the grave I've been digging myself
But there's room for two
Six feet under the stars
This song never gets old.
13 days to All Time Low, the excitement hasn't settled in yet but it's going to be so so so amazing.
The past week passed so fast, it's crazy. Probably cause the first few days were spent mugging for CAs. The best day of the week was definitely Thursday, my last CA is on monday so I met with Jiams and we had dinner at 18chefs and sat at a Starbucks table outside to lepak and talk about life. Discussed plans after 'A's haha and college life and just everything else.
I don't ever want to be an adult. I wish I could just stay a seventeen-year-old teenager forever and not venture out into the dangerous working world. I want to whine about school and tests and go around doing stupid things and laugh loudly and not get judged because I'm a teenager, I want to wear black t-shirts and look sloppy and not brush my hair, I want to still have the time and energy to play basketball and play guitar and whatever else it is that I want to do.
But most of all, I want to stay young.
Well anyway, speaking of ball, I played ball yesterday in the early afternoon at school yay. Feels like it's been such a long time since I last played ball. It was kind of awkward at first because all the other courts were packed and people were watching from the railings outside the canteen, but then we started playing match and it was so fun woohoo. Played with yiying, lecia, clarice and their classmate, I'm not quite sure how to spell her name I think it's Emilia (?)
Also played ball earlier in the morning with some classmates shijia, weiqiang, bryan, jinx and zi quan during our second half-hour break when we had nothing to do. Omg zq is a hidden talent he totally shot hoops like a pro I'm not even kidding.
Went home all sticky and smelly and showered, felt like sleeping after I came out. Did econs homework at night and really wanted to go have supper with BP but I was so tired I was going to crash anytime and they were going to simpang and I didn't feel like travelling though it's pretty near haha.
Going to mug outside later for my chem CA on monday. Five organic chem chapters plus Kinetics wuhhhh just kill me now. I don't even like organic chem ugh
Anyway I realised recently that it's quite true what's inside your wallet tells a lot about a person. Here's what's in mine
1. some cash
2. house key
3. Polaroid of T, L, Em, C, Kr and me
4. two Polaroids of me and L
5. a receipt
6. three guitar picks
7. Dropbeat Heartbeat's guitarist Matin's pick
8. GC warranty card
9. name card for band badge shop at FEP
10. $2 off voucher for some gelato shop
11. Pierce The Veil concert ticket
12. Starbucks card
13. NLB card
14. paper containing lyrics from don mclean's american pie

Back track baby back tracking never got you nothing
Tired.
Feeling kind of moody, I think it's a bit of post-concert blues, coupled with the fact that CAs are this week and I hate tests and exams of any sort (well who doesn't) I think I mentioned before that I love learning and I actually like to study but it's all this pressure to get good grades and ace tests and exams that makes me hate school, like really hate school. Every night before school I just wish I could stay home or do something else.
Today I woke up and just felt like I'd entered a really bad dream instead of real life because I remembered CAs were this week and I would have to spend the day revising. It's one of the worst feelings ever, it's not just a aw-man-I-don't-wanna-get-up-yet feeling, I just wanted to go back to sleep because I dreaded life. And I thought of the lyric nightmares no longer wait for sleep from the song one hundred sleepless nights.
Also, my legs hurt even more than they did yesterday, how is that even possible. I thought they were supposed to get better.
On the bright side, 17 days to All Time Low! Plus I'm seeing them with Christine. I just know it's going to be amazing.
On the other hand, I'm kind of sad because there'll be nothing left to look forward to after that. I think I'll develop a love-hate r/s with concerts. They make me so happy and so depressed at the same time.
If all else fails, I'll be a merch girl or a sound techie. Maybe then I'll be happy.

Bet you never had a Friday night like this
I could cry ok I spent like an hour typing out this great post this morning on the concert last night and I didn't save it freaking fishcake omg FREAAAK :'(((((((((
SOBBBBBBBBBB.
Ok no choice. Just gotta make do with my memory.
Last night was most definitely one of the best nights of my life, if not the best.
Jaime's stage presence omg. Newfound love for Jaime. He just had so much energy, jumping around and spinning with his bass and even going down to personally high-five the frontliners omg Jaime I love you. Vic's voice was perfection, I swear. How can anyone sound so amazing live? And Tony's riffs and headbanging. And Mike was beastly on the drums his epic facial expressions and energy omg I wish I could see more of him :'( I love Pierce The Veil so much.
If I'm not wrong this was the set list.
1. May These Noises Startle You In Your Sleep Tonight
2. Hell Above
3. Disasterology
4. Besitos
5. A Match Into Water
6. I'm Low On Gas And You Need A Jacket
7. Bulletproof Love
8. Hold On Till May
9. Caraphernelia
10. Bulls In The Bronx
11. King For A Day
I felt bad for the opening act actually cause everyone was just stoning during it. Initially the crowd was super hyped because the band opened with Let Love Bleed Red by Sleeping With Sirens which was just amazing, mainly because everyone was singing along and it's one of my favourite SWS songs.
After like half an hour of waiting while the crew set up (I saw their drum tech Casey he's quite cute in real life! haha) IT FINALLY BEGAN.
I was so so so happy that they started with May These Noises because I've always imagined it like that :') And then Vic started screaming the opening line and the crowd just went crazy. There was so much noise and everyone was pushing everyone in front. And just when I thought it couldn't get crazier, Hell Above started and everyone just went insane.
I was being moshed left to right right to left back to front and front to back. Couldn't stand straight, my feet were being trampled on (thank God I had good shoes on) and all I could see and feel were flashing lights and bodies. I'm not even exaggerating. Mosh pits are scary, at least to me. But then again, I don't even dare to go on roller coasters HAHA. #chicken
I was so scared I would get lost in the crowd! Couldn't even look around to find my friends (went with Jessica, Atiqa, Mistika, Charles and Shuqi) but I managed to find Mistika somehow and we just grabbed each other's hands and forced our way out of the mosh and got to the back, whew.
Cause this is a wasteland
My only retreat
With heaven above you, there's hell over me
The water is rusted
The air is unclean
And there for a second I feel free
Cause this is a wasteland
My only retreat
Hearing Disasterology live made my entire year. Yes I know it's a bit early to be saying that seeing as it's only February but I'm pretty sure nothing else this year is going to top that. It's one of my favourite songs in the whole wide world, when I'm tired after a long day and the opening riff plays on my headphones I just have to smile, at least internally. I love this song so much, and it was so beautifully played live. Bless them.
Can we create something beautiful and destroy it?
Nobody knows I dream about it
This is my imagination
If every living thing dies alone, what am I doing here
If every living thing dies alone
What am I doing here?
One song that hit me really hard that night (every song hit me hard though) was I'm Low On Gas And You Need A Jacket. It was PTV's first time playing it live omg so honoured. Vic played it acoustic-style on his electric and it was just beautiful. There were so many capture-it moments during that song, like how the crowd was just singing and moving along.
No, no more eyes to see the sun
You slide into bed while I get drunk
Slow conversations with a gun mean more than I've ever said to anyone, anyone
So keep in happiness and torture me while I tell you let's go in style
A million hooks around a million ways to die
Darling let's go inside
It'll be alright
But last night you said you ended up in Palm Springs dancing on tables
Almost fought some bitch at the club
Got kicked out of your hotel and lost your shoes well
Fuck what am I supposed to be, impressed?
You're just another set of bones to lay to rest
Guess it's time to say good night
Hope you had a really good time
Bulletproof Love was... just. No words to describe it. Hits so close to home, I think not just for me, but for nearly everyone that was there last night. And I will never forget how Vic held out the mic to us for the whole crowd to sing, "This isn't fair, no, don't you try to blame this on me, my love for you was bulletproof but you're the one who shot me."
I breathe you in with smoke in the backyard lights
We used to laugh until we choked into the wasted nights
It was the best time of my life but now I sleep alone
So darling don't, don't wake me up because my thrill is gone
(Say I'm wrong)
In the sunset turning red behind the smoke
Forever and alone
Me and Mistika were dying to hear Hold On Till May and when the intro riff played we just about screamed, as did everyone else. No words to describe this either, the riff itself gave me chills, and the words, and how Vic sang "Darling you'll be okay". Such a beautiful song.
And as the sun went down we ended up on the ground
I heard the train shake the windows, you screamed over the sound
And as we own this night I'll put your body to the test with mine
This love was out of control
3, 2, 1 where did it go?
I was so sad when Pierce The Veil said Bulls In The Bronx was going to be their last song, so I just went all out, jumping and singing every line and headbanging where appropriate. How I love the line "Murder the moment, my God I'm a serpent." I don't even know why. It's like my favourite part of the song next to the beautiful classical guitar solo and Vic's lines in the bridge after that.
Then they left, the stage was still dark and the crowd was all like "aw man" "that was an amazing show" "well played" "damn" and a group of people started chanting "King for a day, king for a day, king for a day" and everyone immediately picked it up too so soon the whole crowd was clamouring for PTV to come out and play one last famous song.
Then this weird music was playing, sounded like sirens and talking and noise, and everyone was quiet suddenly, like what was going on? It was so intense. And then the riff to King For A Day played and I swear we all just about died. I couldn't even believe my ears at that moment because I was so sure PTV wouldn't be playing that song since it's featuring Kellin Quinn who has big parts in it and Vic wouldn't be able to manage without him.
Then the band came out again and everyone cheered and yelled, and Vic told us to fill up Kellin's parts for him, and they played the song omg they played King For A Day.
Dare me to jump off of this Jersey bridge
I bet you never had a Friday night like this
Keep it up, keep it up let's raise our hands
I take a look up at the sky and I see red for the cancer
Red for the wealthy, red for the drink that's mixed with suicide
Everything red
Please won't you push me for the last time
Let's scream until there's nothing left
So sick of playing I don't want to anymore
The thought of you's no fucking fun
You want a martyr, I'll be one
Because enough's enough, we're done
So yep, amazing concert. So happy I went. Definitely worth every dollar, the minor bruises from the mosh pit, my entire aching body (everywhere aches I can't even find a body part that feels fine) and my sore voice.
Thank you Pierce The Veil for coming, you made my first concert ever an amazing experience, and I'll always be proud to say that I saw your first show in Singapore and that we were the first country you played Low On Gas to! I love each and every one of you, you're all incredibly talented, though you probably hear that every day.
Much love xx

~
